Minutes of Special meeting held March 3, 1935, Regular meeting held March 5, Special meeting held March 18, and Special meeting held March 36 were read. Fire Chief Xrause r~ported to ~th~. aouncil the amount needed to purchase a smaller Fire truck to.attend to outside the Vii.lags. .calls. A motion made by Yost, seconded by March, that a specfal meeting be held Friday, April 5, with the Fire Chief, the Fire Department secretary and two other members of the Fire ~department, with the Village 0ouncil, to consider the purchasing of equipment for outside fire calls. MOtion camried. A motion b7 ¥ost' seconded b7 March, that the Treasure~% Bond with the United States Fidelity and Guarantee Company for $4000.00 be accepted and filed with the-clerk. Motion carried. Olerk President April 5, 1935 Minutes of a Special Meeting of the Mound Village Council held April 5, 1935 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mound was'held in the Council Room in the Basement of the State Bank of Mound in said Village, Friday, April 5, 1935,~at S p.m. Trustees present:'W. C. Huestis, President: Trustees Yost, March, Tuff and Horton. Meeting called for the purpose of conferring with Committee from the Fire Department regarding the purchase of Fire Engine and Equipment to attend all outside calls, and such other business that may appear. The Fire Department Secretary reported that outside calls had averaged about $500.00 per year for the last four years, and inasmuch as Owners of Cottages located outside of the Village, were carrying and paid-extra premiums on their Insurance Policies, to pay for these outside Fire Calls~ and depended on the Mound Fire Department to respond to these, calls. Therefore the Committee earnestly solicited the help of the Village Council to purchase the additionsl Equipment. Whereupon the President of the Council advised the. Fire Department Committee to report at the next Regular Meeting of the Village Council the amount that would be required to be advanced by the Village, also what arrangements could be made for the payment of
