Minute~ of a Special Meeting of the Mound Village
Council held April 5, 1935
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the
Village Council of the Village of Mound was'held in the Council
Ro~m in the Basement of the State Bank of Mound in said Village,
F2iday, April 5, 1935, 'at 8 p.m.
Trustees present:'W. C. Huestis, President: Trustees Yost, March,
Tuff and Horton. .
Meeting called for the purpose of conferring with Committee from
*the Fire Department regarding the purchase of Fire Engine and
Equipment to attend ~11 outside calls, a~d such other business
that may appear.
The Fire Department Secretary reported that outside calls had
aver. aged about $500.00 per year for the last four years, a~d
· inaSmuch as Owners of Cottages located outside of the Village~~
.were carrying and paid-extra premiums on their Insurance Policies,
'to pay for these outside Fire Calls~ and depended on the MoUnd
.Fire. Department to respond to these, calls.
Therefore the Committee' earnestly solicited the help of the
Village Council to purchase the additional Equipment.
Whereupon the President of the Council advised the. Fire Department
Committee to report at the nex~ Regalar Meeting of the Village
Council the amount that would be required to be advanced by the
Village, also what a~rrangements could be made for the payment of
April 5, 1935

the Equipment. ~
The Truck Oommittee reported to the Oouncil and recommended one
Of two truoke, one ~or ~449.50 s~nd one for ~S.O0, which.-
eVer, one they felt they could purchase at this time.
A motion b~ Trustee Tv~f, that the Village puxchaee the Truck
priced at ~49.50 from the Parker & Smith Co. ~ere being no
second to themotion, Trustee ¥ost made a motion to amend the
previous motion that the Village purchase the Finley Motors
Truck for $3S5.00, which was seconded by Trustee March, on
roll call: yays; ¥ost, M&roh, Horton; Nays: Tuff. Whereupon
said motion was declared duly carried.

Held April ~, 1935.
Pursu&nt to due °all and notice thereoff, a special meeting of
the Village Council of the Village of MoUnd, Hennepin 0o~nty,
Minnesota, was duly held in the Council Room in the basement
of the State Bank of Mound in said Village on the 16th day of
April, 1935, at S o'clock p.m.
The following Trustees were present: W. 0. Huestis, President;
Trustees: ¥ost, March, Tuff and Horton. 'The following were
absent: N0ne. '
Trustee ¥ost'introduoed the following resolution and moved
its adoption:.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Mound
that Geo. R. Cole be &ppointed superintendent of the work on
Watermain Improvement No. $ and be directed to cause necessary
plans and specifications for said improvement to be made and
filed with the Village O. lerk. Adopted April 16, 193~5.
