relief purposes, with the underst~ding that the Federal Gove~en~ will
furnish all necess~y f~s in excess' of ten million ~ollars for each
~ear ae may be required by the needs of the people of the State of

Bo~ th~ in consideration of the ~llotmen~ ~d a~inistration of
poor ~n~ work relief f~ds that ~he Village of Mo~d agrees to
appropriate ~n~ set ~ei~e in the poor fun~, or make o~he~ise available
the ~ of Fou~ Hu~re~ ~ Ei~ty no/lO0 Doll,s, ($480.00) for the
oale~ed year 1~ ~ ~ like e~ for the o~en~er ye~ 1~6.
This e'~ will ~ ma~e av~l~ble to the ~ral Hennepin County Welfare
Bo~ in equ~ monthly installments.
From this principal sum expenditures for allowable items 325
msule during the year 193B or whlchare subsequently made are deductable.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be signed
by the proper officers and imeadiately transmitted through the area
administrator to the State Relief Administrator in order that the
relief .program may be continued and that the State of Minnesota may
promptly secure full credit from the Federal .Government for Compliance
with the conditions imposed upon the State of Minnesota by the Federal
Emergency Relief Administration.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution.was duly seconded
by Tuff, add upon vote taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: YOST, TUFF & HORTON,
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

TO TOWN BOARDS AND VILLAGE COUNCILS

GENTLEMEN.:
The Federal Emergency Relief Administration stipulated
ur~nEthe N~nnesota Legislative Session of ~935 that the State must
ontribute $1.0, 000, ~. 00 for each of the two years of the
bie~uium. Thelegislature made available one-half of this amount through
State funds, the other half to be contributed by cities and u
.counties of the State.
The Federal Emergency Relief Adminstration calculated the amount of
money required fnmm each State'by taking into consideration a number of
factors such ascase load, financial condition, indebtedness, t~x delinquency
ahd other fact.cie involving capacity to pay. Pursuant to_Chapter 51, Section
~, Session of l~ws of 1935~ the State Emergency Relief Administration h~
ver~ carefully calculated the proportion that each county', should contribute
in order to raise SS,000,000.00 or one-half of the States quota. In like
manner it has determined the quota for the political sub-divisions of
Hennepin County. \
On the b~is of this determination the amount required for each of the
two years 1~35 & 193~ from MOUND Village is $480.00.
From this amount deduction will be made from your 1~°35 contribution of the
amotm~ 'your municipalitSes has spent during l~Z5 for allowable items of
relief as shown on pages 2 & ~ of Form St 53~ which is filled cut by your
clerk each month. Deductions will ~al...so be made for any sush expenditures
in the .future. If the amount specifxed is not satisfactory to your board,
sm appeal may be made for adjustment to the Rural Hennepi~ County Welfare
Board. ~ e
The State Emergency Relief Administration. will supplement ,. h relief
needs of the political sub-divisions of Hennepin County over and above their
required contribution. It is therefore imperative that the political sub-
