W.C.Huestis was chosen unamiously for Moderator. One President for one year, One Trustee for three years, One Clerk lot two years, One Justice of the ~eace for two years, One Constable for two years. Dr.W.C.Huestis was chosen un_~_m_inously to act as Moderator. Nominations being in order; Dr. W.C.Huestis was nominated for President for the year 1937, On motion duly made and carried Nominations were closed. Nominations for Trustee f or three years; J.S.Carlson, C.L.Tuff, Jerry Bowman and Walter Madsen, On motion duly made and carried Nominations were closed. H.I.Horton was nominated as Clerk for two years, on motion duly made and carried Nominations were closed. M.J. Smith was Nominated as Justice of the Peace for two years, On motion duly made and carried, Nominations were closed. George R. Cole was Nominated as Constable for two years, On motion duly made and carried , Nominations were closed. Repair of sidewalks and Stop signs Speed limits were talked about, On motion Meeting adjourned. Moderator Regular Meeting ~NUTEs~F THE/MOUNDVILLAGE COUNCIL H~LD DEClst 1936 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof,the regular monthlymeetir~ of the Mound Village Council was held in their Council Room Declst 1936. at 8:P.M. Officers present; W.C.Huestis President, Tuff , Yost, March & Horton. Minutes of the las~ regular meeting were read au d approved as read. Notice of hearing for Vacating Laurel St & Service road in Abraham Lincoln Addition was read, there being no objections offered, Trustee Yost offered the following Resolution and moved its adoption, WHEREAS: Petition has been made by a majority of the ov~ers of laud abutting upon Laurel ~eet and upon certain platted service ~oad contiguous to Lots six (6) seven (7) Eight (8) and Nine (9) Block Two rearrangement of Block ten ,Abraham Lincoln Addition to Lakeside park , Mound, Minnetonka, for the Vacation of said Laurel Street and service road, and notice having been given to all persons intersted by one week's publication of Notice of Hearing on the 19th day of November 1936 in the Minnetonka Pilot, and all persons interested havin~ appeared, and the maSter having been duly heard, and it having been found for the interest of the public that said street and said service road,be vacated, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED: that said Laurel street and said service road above described maybe, and they hereby are declared vacated. The motion for the foregoing resolution , was seconded by ~rustee March, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor t~ereof; Yost, March Tuff & Horton~a~ainst sane ; none, whereupon said Resoultion was declared adopted and dulypassed. Dec 1st 1~30 continued The Bills were read and on motion by Tuff seconded by March, that bills be paid, and Clerk draw warrants for same, Motion Carried. 363 Trustee Tuff offered the follwoing Resolution and moved its adoption, "BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VIT.T.AGE COUNCIL of the Village of Mound" "That one hlaf of the cost of making ~of the road, known as Beverly Ave, in Ravenswood, be assessed against abutting property , with six per cent interest per annum from the time the work was completed, assessments to be spread over aperiod of three years, namely~ 1~37, 1938 &1939, and a copy of this Resolution be handed to the County Auditor, with the assessment roll for same, The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution, was duly seconded by Trustee March, and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted ~n favor thereof; Tuff, March Yost& Horton ~ against same none, whereupon said Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
