DEC~ER 8th 1936 Pursuant to notice thereof, a Public assembly of the Citizens of the Village of Mound , held onehour before the polls opened for the annual Village Election, The meeting was callex to order by H.I.Horton, the President being absent, who asked for a moderator, on motion being duly made and carried, WI2i. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a Specia~Meeting of Mound Village Council was held on th loth day of December 1W3O at $:~0 P.M. Officers present ;W.C.Huestis President, ~i&RCH,YOST, Tuff & Horton The President de~ared the meeting ~as called for the purpose of canvassing the Votes of the Annual Village Election. ~ The returns of the Judges of the Annual Village Election, and the Ballots having been filed with the C~erk, it was found that 260 Ballots had been cast, with the following results; For President W.C.Huestis received One year term J.C.Krause L.P.S0hns Eugene Sohns Gus BroecKert Whereupon W.C.Huestis was declared elected President for th~ year 1937. 21'! Votes 4 1 1 1 for the office of For Trustee J.S.Carlson Rec'd 101 Votes Three Year Term C.L.Tuff ' " 13E " ~ W.T.Madsen " 8 " For Clerk H.I.Horton " 22M " For two yerterm Whereupon H.I.Horton was declared elected for two term as Clerk. Cole Rec'd 216 Votes two year term Earl Babcock 3 " Frank Groschen Z " Wm Kickhafer 1 Whereupon George R. Cole was declared Elected for the office of Constable for two year term.' The Council having canvassed the Votes of the Annual Village Election~ proceeded with other business. A letter from the Northland Bus Lines~ was read and after some discussion A motion by Narch seconded by Yost, that the President make an offer for the old Bus Shedand Lot of $1uuO. O0 at $$00.0u down and $$00.00 on or before ~ year from date of Contract, and the President to have authority to hire Legal advice as to the Title thereof Notion Carried A motion by Yost seconded byNarch that the President ascertain the Legal aspects for a Special Election for Certificates of Indebtedness to obtain the funds to establish an Exclusive Liquor Store, under Nunicipal Control Notion carried On motio,,~,~eting adjourned President
