1937-01-25S~ Minutes of S~ecial Meeting of the
Mound Village Council held Jan'y 2Sth 19S7
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special Meeting of the Vill~
Village Council of Mound, was held in their Council Room on the
2~th day of Jan'y 1937 at 8:00 P.M..
Officers present $ W.C.Huestis President; March , Most, Tuff &
Horton.
The President stated the meeting was called £or the purpose of
considering an Amendment to Ordinance # $2, and such other business
that may appear,
The Following Amendment to Ordinance No. SE, Licensing and
~egulatlng the sale of Non-Intoxicating Malt Liquors in the Village
of Mound, was Introduced by T~ustee Yost, who moved i ts adoption,
That on and after February 1st l~ST, Applications for the sale of
Non-IntoxicatingMalt Liquors, either OFF or ON SALE, in anyb
locationother than that already licensed to sell Non-Intoxicating
Malt Liquors, Shall not be considered by the Village Council of
Mound, until the written consent of at least a majority of the
Property Owners~lthin one thousand feet (as the crow flies) of the
Property described in such Application, shall be obtained, and this
Amendment be published in this weeks Pilot, (Official Paper)
The Motion for the adoption of the foregoing Amendment to Ordinance
No. SW, was duly seconded by Trustee March, and upon vote being
taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof, Most, March,
Tuff & Horton, against same ;none.
Whereupon~aid ~ mm~.i~e~dm~n% to Ordnance No. SE was declared duly
passed an~ adopted.
Disscussion follow~ relative to the Flood area, and on motion by
Most seconded by March, That the Village of Mound donate the sum
of $2~.~ to the American Red Cross for the relief of the
Flood suffers, Motion Carried.
No further business appearing , on motion meeting adjourned
