~PECIAL ~,~EETING OF THE ~OI~ND VILLAGE COUNCIL HELD JL%TE 24th, 1940
The purpo~.e of this meeting was to receive bids on $8,000.00 ~ound
Park Improvement Ponds voted at the election of May 27th, 1940.
Mesponding to roll-call were ~,~ayor J. C. Krause, Trustees B. F. Winkel,
C. R. Ferrall, and E~van J~nes, with Alwin as Clerk-Hecorder.
Represented among the bidders were the State Bank of Mound, Juran,
~oody & Rice of St. Paul, Mairs-Shaughnessy & Co of St. Paul, the
Thrall, West Co. of Minneapolis, and Allison-Williams Co. of ~inneapol~
wotlce having been duly given of a meeting of the village council
to be held at the village council room in the Village Hall and
Fire Barn at ~ound, on Monday, June 24th, 1940, st 8 o'clock P. ~.
for the purpose of reoeividg bids for tbs sale of bonds for p~rk
purpose~ in the s~m of $8,000.00, upon specifications contained in
notice ~nd proof of the p~bllcation of said notice having been filed
with the clerk of said council, the council thereupon proceeded to
receive and consider such bids. The offers for the purchase of said
bonds and the names of the bidders ~nd the premiums and rate of in-
terest offered are as follow~;

It appearing from the above bids that the offer of Allison Williams Co
was the best offer made for the purchase of said bonds, the following
resolution w~s offered by trustee C. R. Ferrall:
WH~WREA9 five separate bids for the purchase oi~ the bonds of
the Village of ~ound in the sum of $8,000.00 have been made by certain
buyers, ~nd the offer of Allison Williams Co. of ~inneapolis appearing
to be the best offer made for such purch~se,
BE IT RE~OLVED, that the bid of Allison Willl~ms Company for the
purchase of said bonds uoon the payment of s premium of $40.00, the bonds
to bear~ interest at the rate of 2 $ (two percent) per snnum, be
g, ccepted, ~nd thst the said bonds be sold to ~aid Alllson-Willisms Co.
The motion being for the adoption of the resolution, Trustee Winkle
seconding, the vote stood ss follows: Yeas, Krs. use, Winkle, Ferrall,
Jones, & Alwin. Nays, None.
And so the resolution stood adopted.
Presented on proper application and attended by soproprlate fees,
the following Soft Drink and Beer licenses.were authorized by the
council for 1940:
Ellenberg & Showalter with a warning against further law
violstlon.
