~cti~ Chairman C. R. Ferrall, trustee B. P. Wlnkel, with Alwfn
as Clerk-Recorder. Truste'e Jone9 sopesred lmter and ~'ayor Krau~e
wa~ absent by necessity.
Presented first for the consideration of the council w~s the tax
levy coverl~ the $8,000.00 Park Improvement Ponds. In this con-
nection Trustee P. F. ~Inkel, trustee Jone~ suooorttng, offered the
followi~ resolution, to wit:
~'~R~AS, the Village Council of the Vi!l~.~e of }~o~nd has
a resolution unanimously passed at ~. re;~ular meetinf' of s~id Council
held in the Council roona in the Villa~e I~a~ll and Yire Darn on the
7th. day of ~ay, 1940, found it expedient ~'.nd. for the best interest
of sn~id Village to acquire and improve cert,oin lands for ps~r~ pur-
poses, r~nd h~.s heretofore submitted to the ~-oters o~~ s~i~. vil!s~e
proposal to issue bonds in the sum of ~8,000 for such purpose,
%~R~ at a special election held in ss~id vill~.e in ~ccord-
s. nce ~?ith s~id proposal on the ~gth d~,.y of 7~sy, 19~O, ~he electors
of s~id village halve accepted ,~n~ s.pproved s~id ?roposal and h~ve
~u~thorized the is~n~e of bonds in said amount by more th~.n five
eiFhths ~ajority, and
~,U-~R~AS pursus~nt to such authorization smd in s, ccord~nce
the o~ovisions of the sts~tute the VillaFe c~ '
~'ised for bids, smd received bids and did on the ~Z. th d~y of June,
19~0, at a special meeting held in s~id co~il room by resolutio~
duly passed, receive and accept the bi~. of Allison '/;illi~s
for the purchase by it of said bonds, ~"~hich bonds are to be d~ted
