1940-11-07534 VILLAGE OF MOUND MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE MOUND VILLAGE COUNCIL held November 7th, 1940. Responding to roll-call at 7:30 P. M. were ~ayor J. C. Krause, tru trustees B. F. Winkel, ~. R. Ferrall, and EVen Jones, with Alwin as Recorder. After the reading and approval of the minutes of the previous meetings sayor Krause recognized Mr. E. C. Streater in the latter's request that the council approve changes with reference to ~lock 1 & 2, Shirley Hills, Unit "~" and haviflg specific bearing on the changed location of Inwood Lane which the council authorized by resolutlo, n at the special meeting_ of Oct. 28th, 1940. Ny motion of Trustee P. M. Winkel, Trustee Jones supported, the changes as presented were accepted by the council. ~y action of the Wayor and council the following election board was appointed to serve at the village annual election held Dec. ~d, 1940: Judges of Election: C. L. Tuff, Carl Akenson, L. P. Sohns. Clerks of slectlon: Mrs. Cbas. Nmith, Chester Edlund. Following discusslon Trustee Wlnkel mOVed, with Alwln concurring, that the Superintendent of the W. p. A. Park Project be authorized to order drain tile in quantities as needed, the whole to be accord- lng to specifications supplied by Engineer Walter Madsen. After a review of estimates covering the cost of a main extension to Mound Terrace and Dutch Lake and the looping of the system at Shirley Hills, it was generally agreed that Trustee Evan Jones ~e authorized, along with Mr. N. E. Pardee as counsel, to confer with the League of ~lnnesota ~unlcipalitles on means to enable the village to share the cost along frontage where the tax load wou/d be un- bearable.
