The purpose of this meeting was to review the assessment roll prepared
by the clerk covering the water main extensions of the ?~hirley Hills Di
district and to authorize a public hearing with reference to the
Responding to roll-call were ~ayor J C Krause, Trustees
and Evan Jones, with ~lwin as Recorder.
After recommending minor preliminary changes in the assessment schedule,
Trustee Jones presented the following resolution; to wit:
WHEREAS, at a special meeting of the Village Council held in the
council room in the Village Hall and Fire Barn on the 12th day of
~arch, 1~41, at 7'30 o'clock P ~,~ a resolution wa.s dulu adopted
by the council determining that the assessable co~t of the extension of
water main~ on Lakewood Avenue, Vale Avenue, County Highway ~o. 7 and
other streets in the Village of ~.~ound, contract for which extension
hs.s heretofore been let to Chris Jen~en, shall be the sum of $11,868.23,
and whereas-the Village Clerk was directed to calcuTate the proper
amount ~o be spec. tall? 2s~essed for such i~provement against every
lot, piece or parsel of land ss the proposed ~se~ent of ss. id im-
provement, and. whereas the ?illage ulerk has duly made such proposed
assessment, which proposed assessment is on file in the office of
said Clerk ~nd is open for public inspection.
NOW, THERFFORE, Be it Hereby Resolved that notice be given
by one week's publication in the Minnetonka Pilot to all persons
interested to appear at the regular meeting of the Council to be held in
the Council Room on the ~st day of ~pril, 1941, at 7:30 o'clock
P. M., and to state any objections there m~y be to such proposed
assessment as to any property therein ~peclfied for the consideration
of the council, before such proposed a~ses~ment sh~ll be confirmed.
Alwln supporting the motion for adoption, the vote of the council
stood unanimous.
