The purpose of this meeting w as to receive bids on Village of Mound Tater ~.~aln I~0rovement Certificates of Indebtedness to cover a $14,650.00 expenditure in connection with the ?hirley Hills water main extensions, exclusive of the main improvement fronting on blk 7, Unit B of the same s ubdivi sion. Present at the meeting were ~:Tayor J. C. Krause, Trustees Winkel, Jones and Olson, with Alwin ~s Recorder. Represented among the bidders were Thrall-?~est & Co. of ~Inne~oolis, The Northwestern National Bahk & Trust Co of ~Jinne~polls, Park-Mhaunessy & Co. of St. Paul, Dain & Co of St. Paul, Ka~lmann& C~_of ~lnnesoolls, ~.~oody & Rice of ~t. Paul, and Piper,Jaffrey & ~;~df;'~of ?'t. Paul. / Park-~haune~sy & Co. of ~t. Paul presenting the lowest bid calling for ~n interest payment of I-~-% and paying a .~remlum of ~16I.©0, It was moved by Trustee Jones that the contract for the cer%Iflcates be awarded to Par~-~haunessy. F. '~lnkel that the ordinance be approved with minor changes and that it be enacted as village law and that it be published in the ?innetonka Pilot of l'~ay 1st, 1941. ~his motion was supported by '~'rustee Olson, the rest of t~e council concurring. Trustee ~.. F. Winkel presented {he I'ollowlng resolution, to wit: Petition having been ma~e by a majority of the owners of l°ts and parcels of land fronting on Fernside Avenue, ~ound, between County Road No. 7 and the ~eton Cut Off ~{oad for the extension of water mains on ~'ernside Avemue. It is hereby resolved that said ~tter be heard at. s soecial meeting of the Village Council to be held in the Council Chambers in said village on the 12th day of _Vay. 1941, at 7~30 o'clock P. %,t. and that notice be given to all oersons interested in ~aid m~tter by two weeks' publication of notice in the ~innetonka Pilot, the last publication to be no less than three days before said meeting. Trust~ Jones seconding the motion for adoption, the Vote of the council stood unanimous. And so the resolution stood adooted. On ~otion by Trustee B. F. Winket, the clerk was authorized to advertise for bids on paint for the Village Club House, Chairman Irvtn Malakousky of the Park Committee to suoply the soeclflcations. ~ustee Jones suooortlng the motion, it was approved by the council.
