MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE MOUND VILLAG? COUMCIL HELD
May 26, 1941.
The purpose of this meeting was to receive and pass on the recommend-
atlons of the Park Committee under the chairmanship o~ I. ~alak~usky
wllh reference to the personell for ~rillage Club House care and
operation and also the overseeing of the park and beach. The
meeting, also, was to act on the report of Water T..V. adsen, engineer,
with reference to the cost and feasibility of the ~'ernside Avemue
main extension, and also the Mawllns ~venue water main extension.
~espon~ing to roll-call were ~'ayor J. C. Krause, ','rustees '¢'~Inkel,
Jones and Olson, with Alwin as nec-order.
~poearlng first before the council was L. J. ~'owers, Village .~'ire
~arshall and Chief of the ~,~ound ~olunteer Fire Department~ asking
for a donation of $50.00 by the village to enable the deoartment
to send its annual delegation to the Flremens Convention on June
8, 9, and loth. Alwin moved that the don~tlon be allowed. This
was seconded by Trustee Winkel, the council concurring.
The Park Committee, represented by ~:~r. I. ?~alakousky, ~¢rs. ?,'. C.
Huestis, and ~..~,rs. Jacob Hohl, made the following recommendations:
That ~r. and ~rs Warren Cressy be given the use, rent free and for
a period ending ~,~arch 1st, 194R, of the kitchen and concession portion
of the Club House under the terms of an agreement to be executed by
the Park Committee and signed by the Cressy's. Tn conslder~tion
for this, the Cressys were to take care of the Club ~uilding,
supervise and oolice the beach and Park, and take care of the
bathing facilities, and provide ahy ~uch other services as might
be specified in wffltlng by the ?ark Committee. ~.fter discussion,
it was moved by Trustee B. F. Winkel that the council approve
the committee's recommendations and any such other stipulations
m~ be contracted betweem the U~e~sys and the Park COmmittee.

tae roi. lowing resolution:
Petitions having been made by the owners of more than i'lfty-
one %51) persent in Z'rontage of the real property abutting on the
streets hereinafter named for the extension of wa%er main~ on said
street~, to wit:
On Fernside Avenue between Oounty Highway ~o. 7 and the ~-~eton ~hort
cut, and On Rawlins ~.venue from ~ell ?treet to the intersecting
all~.
~'OW, THEREFORE, ~e it hereby resolved that said petltior~ shall
be considered and action taken in reference to the matter at its
Special ~f, eeting of the Village Council of the Village of ~.found, on
~fon~ay, the 16th day of June, 1941, at 8 o'clock P..~,~. and that
the Village Clerk be directed to give notice thereof to ali persons
by publication of this resolution once each week for two successive
weeks in the ~{~nnetonka Pilot, the last publication to, t~e at
least seven days prior to the date of hearing. The improvement
petitioned for is for the extension of water mains for the purpose
of furnishing adeeuate water service and fire protection in the
parts of the village abutting on said streets and adjacent therto
and the estimate~ cost of said improvement is the s,~m of $

The motion being_ for the ad&ption of the above re~olutlon,
