Responding to roll-call at this meeting were ~ayor J. C. Krause, ~rustees-~
B'. F. ~inkel, Evan Jones, and Earl 9. Cleon, with Alwln a. 8 Clerk-Recorder.~
The meeting opened with a detailed financial report by '~. H. ~herman,
Supervls~r of ~unicipal Accounting in the Public ~xamlner's Office,
on the new system of accounting that he had install_ed for the Village
of ~ound. The system, as he reported it, brought village accounts
abreast with June 1st, 194I, and all funds were now on thoroughly
audited balances and spread by a system of codes over an informative
pattern of breakdowns. ~r. Sherman promised his further co-operation
in the operatlon of the system.
The council listened to the reading of bids by the Burroughs Adding
~achine Co., and the National Cash Register ~o. on a cash register
for the On ~sle Liquor ~tore at ~eton. The ~urroughs .Adding ~achine
Co. offered a mechanically operated machine covering the specifications
as advertised for ~199.80. The National Cash Register Co. offered
a machantcal~y operated machine f~r 8!99.80, a rebuilt electrical
machine for ~195.O0, end a new electrlc~,l mac~Ine for ~375.00, end another
improved mech~ntcsl machine for $280.00. ~y motion by Trustee
~inkeI, Alwtn supporting, the council agreed that the choice of machine
be left to the Liouor Committee, and that the committee report back
its choice at the ~oecial ~eet~ng of the council d~ted for June 16th,
1941.

Former council~C. L. Tuff personslly petitioned the council that
flags be placed in front of busine~ places at teton during all
patriotic observances, and that private homes be urged to do likewise.
By general agreement of the council, ~r. Tuff was promised thst
action would be taken to get these things doae.
On a motion by Trustee Winkel, Trustee Jones supporting, the council
authorized the poolin~ of all funds of the village into one Village
general fund, with the exception of the Pond ~ Interest Fund ~nd the
~oeciaI Assessment Fund.
Following a report by Attorney N. E. Pardee, Trustee Winkel moved that
the council approve and accept the form of the Certificates of Indebted-
ne~ originally ~.uihorlzed but as now amended with re~'erence to the
designation of the receiving bank. This motion was seconded by Trustee
Jones, the re~t of the council concurring.
