The Clerk having prepared and pre~ented for the Inspection of sll
pre~ent at the hearing tTefore the council the s~e~,~ment roll with
reference te ?~ater %Tain Improvement No. 6, ond it ~elng recommended by
the c,~cil, upon ~ review ef the fact~, that the main ~utherlzed for
Fern~Ide Avenue be ~hortened One H~dred (100) Feet in erder to ~vold
frontage upon Lot~ 21 & 22, blk ~, S. H. Unit A, the~e l~t~, because
of marshy ground, being w~rthle~ for taxation, and It ~eing further
recommended ~nd authorized that L~t 12, blk 9, A~raham Lincoln Addition,
~e a~e~ed for ~nly twenty ~20) feet of the co~t ef the main on
Rawlin~ Avenue, ~uch lot already being a~e~ed f~r it.~ full length en
Dell Street, and there ~eing ne f~ther ~ugge~tien~ or e~Jectien~ and
it ~eing an~arent that the t~x r~ll a~ ~re~ented, with the a~eve
~uthorized chan~e~, wa~ ~ati~factery in every way ~nd acceptable to
~1I Dre~ent, Trustee Olden pre~ented the following Re~lutien:

on r'ern~ide Avenue from ~ounty Highway Mo. 7 to the ~eton ~hort Cut
Road has heretofore ~een filed with the Clerk ef the Village ef
5~ound and notice of hearing en said proposed a~e~ment w~ duly
given ~y one week's published notice in the L'innetonka Pilot and
whereas hearing on ~aid matter w~ duly held %y the ~illage Council
at ~ ~peclal mooting'thereof in accordance with ~aid notice on the 18th day
of July, 1941, and no eno appeared to eppe~e ,.~Id ;,~es~ment ~nd the same hay
ing ~een found ~y the council to ~e in ~ll re~oect~ fair ~nd in accord-
anco with law, new, therefore, it i~ here~y re.olved that ~Id
merit be, ~nd it here~y i~, approved and adopted.
Alwin seconding the motion for the adoption of the ~,~ove re~olution,
the veto ef the council ~tood unanimous. And so the re~olution
stood adopted.
In connection with financing the above project, 'J.'rustee Olsen
presented the following re~olutien:

Village cf Mound te extend the water main~ of the village water
· y~tem on Hawlin~ Avenue from Dell ~treet to the inter~e¢{ing ~.lley
~nd on Fern~ide Avenue from County Mighway No. 7 to the ~eton ~hert
Cut Head, the total cost of which i~ the sum of ~3.~00.00 ~nd the

construction of which hg~s heretofore been undertaken, and wherea~ the cost
of said improvement, less the cent of hydrants, in to be p~id through ~
special ~.~,se~sments, levied ~galn~t the lots, pieces or p~.rcels of
land ~enefitted ~y said improvement, now, therefore, it i~ here by
resolved that s~id exten~ion of water main~ ~nd improvement ~e fin-
anced ~y l~ulng water main certiftc~.ten of Indebtednenn to ~e p~Id
in installments ever a period of s~xteen years by fifteen ~nnual
installments of $200.00 each, the earlle~t m~turing in~t~Alment te be
paid en or ~efore the 1st Day of ~arch, 1943, that s~Id certlfic~tes
~e issued with such interest a~ ~h~ll be oI'~'ered to be p~Id, not exceeding.
the rate of 5~ per ~nnum, te Be dated ~nd issued =n ef Oeptem~er 1st,
1941, and ~e it further renolved that the full f~tth, credit ~nd
resources of the Villa. ge ef ~,~ound be ~nd they here~y ~re, irrevocably
pledged for the promot payment of the prlncip~l ~nd interest of said
certificates as they sh~ll come due, ~nd ~e it further re~olved that
~dvertisement for the sale of said water m~gln certific_~te~ of indeBted-
ness Be inserted in the ~innetonka Pilot, a. legal newspaper published
at ~ound, Menneoin County, },finnesota., for two insues Beginning July
31st, 1941, to give notice te the public that a special meeting of
the Village Ceuncll of the Village of ~ound will ~e held in the
village Council Room in said village en Thursday, the 21~t day of August,
1941, at 8 o'clock P. ~..~. for the purpose of receiving sealed bids for
the ourchase of said certificates of indebtednes~ at such rate of interes~
~.nd for such orlces as may ~e offered.
'['he motion ~eing for the adoption of the above resolution, Alwtn seconded
it, and the vote of the council ws~n unanimous. And ne the re~olutton
wa~ adoot ed.
