held Sept. 18, 1944.
Purpose of the meeting was ts. receive bids en the construction of the
Wunlcipal ~ldg., and on the laying of Plack Top. from ihs ~or~en Ave.
channel to the railroad crossing ~t ~eton. Present of the village
council were ~;ay~r Louis, Trustee R. J. Rondorf, with Alwln Recordtrg.
Trustees Newcomb and Broeckert were absent.
Present te present bids was a representative of the Republic Creosoting
Co. of St. L~uis Park, and Ray Cox of Csx Bros at ~pring P~rk. The
Clerk held the building construction bids of Hugo Johnson of ~aga Hill
and of Sigurd A. Johnson of ~t. Lohis Park. Present also to p~ese~t a
petition for a water main extension ~long Hyland Ave. were Roy ~n~ Leslie
Jenson. '~
A hearing given, the petitioners for water were te~por~,ry satisfied with
council instructions to the clerk te confer with the W~r Production Poard
on priorities, and limitations, covering water main lnstglation~.
The Republic Creosoling Co. and Cox Pros. being the only bidders for road
material, Rondorf ~oved to. accept the bid of Cox Bros. to furnish
washed sand at $1.45 per yard and pearock at $~.45 per yard. Alwin
suoperted this motion, the council agreeing.
Pondorf moved to accept ~he bid of the ?epublic Creosoting Co. to
furnish he,ted tar at 10.5 ~ per gallon t~id down ss directed.
~lwln seconded this motion, the council concurring.
~Vlth reference to building eonstruetlon bids, Rendorf moved te
~cc~pt the low bid of Hugo Johnson to construct the ~ound ~unicipal
building in part aa authorized by the ~ar Production ?oar~ for the
sum 0f$6,322.00. Alwin concurred in this motion, ihs council ~greeing.

submitted the following resolution, to wit:

the forfeiture of land~ te the State for taxes', which l'~nd~e-:~baVe been
classified by the County N oard of said Hennepin Ueunty as non-conservation
and f~r sale, pursuant te the lams of Minnesota for 1935, Chapter 386,
~eetion 1, as amended, which list ef lan~ is designated as li~t 114 'C"
September 5th, 1944, and '

The euestion was on the adoption of the re~elution, ~nd the roll being
called there were 3 ye~s and O nay~ ~ follows: Lc'uts Huestis, H. J.
Rondorf, and LeRoy V. Alwin. And so the resolution stood adopted.
