the League ef minneseta municipalities, was to consider %he enactment
of a Village ~uilding Ordinance. matter presented for study was a
sample ordinance cont~mplatin~ %he establishment of :ire Limits
and regulating the construction of buildings within these limits.
The Duildln~ Ordl.nanee o'f the Village of island Park was also rev!owed,
and, in a~ditioh to this, the legal opinion of the League attorney~,
orville O, Petersen~with reference to the control of %he building of shacks,
I~te~eettand discussion centered about the ordinance of island Mark.
~ollowing which '~Tustee Newcomb moved that each member of the council
give further study to %ne material submit%e~ and prepare himself
%o present his idea of a suitaOle ordinance at the next regular
meetly.of the council on Aug. 7%h, 194b. 'Able motion was supper%ed
by Trustee monderf, the rest of the council agreeing.
Open an examination of the currently used apolication for a building
permit and the same shewing no prevision made for dating such aooll-
cation, nor for giving a cost estimate .f the construction work con-
templated, it was moved by Newcomb that the clerk be authorized to
provide himself with the necessary rubber stamp in order to add these
important features te the context of the application. ~nderf
