1946-04-02VILLAGE OF MOUND MINUTES OF THE REGULAR NEEdiNG OF THE NOUND VILLAGE COUNCIL HELD April ~nd, 194S. Aba ent Roll call -/Roy Alwin, Clerk; Mr. Newcomb acting Pro Tem. Minutes adopted as read with corrections. Mr. Rondorf moved, seconded by Mr. Broeckert, that the Clerk be authorized to notify Mr. ~: E. LUndstrom to remove rocks, cement block~, from lakeshore village property. Carried. Mr. Hettu appeared before the council in regard to taxi stand. matter was taken under consideration by the council. The Mr. Sollie appeared in regard to Feed Store. The matter had been turned over ko Mr. HendriCks at the March meeting. Report by Mr. Hendricks, attorney, that Mr. Gerald, Feed Store proprietor, has a perfect right to operate, a~ he is in commercial zone. If he grinds feed and puts in machinery to that ef~ect, it would be classified as~ industriat~, and he would be in wrong~ zone. M~on by, Ron~orf~ second by Broeckert~ that. the~ council proceed k~ith the- fe~r~ petitions for, water main~ eEtensiens~ as presented to the counc~t~~ , ~ar~ied. Motion by. Mrs, Newcomb, seconded~ by Mr.. Rondorf~ · tha~ Mayor be ~~ized to have petitions checked to. determine~ whether all the owners of, the. frontage of the-abutting, property are in favor of. such extensions. Carried., Motion by. Mrs. Broeckert, seconded by Mr,, Newcomb, that if it is found upon. the property being checked that, a. ma.Jerity of the abut- ti~OWners, are in favor of said proJect~ then the same shall be a~r~ed over' to the village engineer, M~,.. A~teigh C. Smith to be checked by him as to cost and all other-set,tore, in. connection with same and~ submit an estimate of cost per. ~o~,~f~e~tage. Carried. On motion by Newcomb, seconded by Rondorf, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: RESOLUTION FIXING HE~ING ON ~AT~R MAIN IMPROVEMENT. BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village of Mound, Minnesota, that the Clerk be directed to publish notice that the Council will meet on Friday, the 24th day of May, 1946, at eight o'clock P.M., for the purpose of considering a water main improvement in the following streets: THE HI GHLANI~: From the intersection of Highland Ave. and Highland Boulevard, down Highland Ave. to Greene BOulevard, down Greene Boulevard to a juncture with the water main on Ridgeway Ave. Another extension will start from the hydrant terminus on ~State Highway ll0, down Highway llO to Tuller, down Tuller to Mound Ave., down Mound Ave. to its intersection with County Hig)away No. 44. MINNESOTA B~TISTS ..ASS~BLY GR,.ND: From the juncture of Highland Boulevard and Fairfield forming a loop along Fairfield back to Highland Boulevard; with another loop taking off at Fairfield and Young Aves., and following the loop of Young Ave., Huett Ave., and Tallant Ave. back to Fairfield, with a cross- arm along Maple Ave. SUBDIViSIONS OF MOU~D SHCRES AND MOUND: Water Mains will follow Grand View Drive from end to end, Koehler Terrace from end to end, Hillside Ave. to its intersection with Grand View Drive, Lake Str. between Koehler Terrace end Elm, down Elm Str. to Dewey, with a possible looping of the main along Dewey to Koehler Terrace. iKOEHL~R'S ~TION AND LAKESIDE PARK: A new main extension will project Norlth from the intersection of Maple and Dell ~treets, along Maple to the Nortih line of Lot 27, Blk. 6, and the North line of Lot 4, Blk. 8, Lakewide Park.
