1946-07-09 MOU O 813 ~INUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR NEETIN~ oF THE NOUND VILLAGE COUNCIL HELD ON JULY 9th, 19A6. Responding'to' roll call at this meeting where Mayor Louise Huestis, Trustees A. S. Newcomb, G. F. Broeckert, and H. J. Rondorf, with Alwin recording. ~ .... ~,, The me, ting opened wit h a hearing given to Mr E.' C. Streater and Mr. Herbert E. Wolner, rep.resenting Streater Industries, Inc. with reference to a transfer by sale to a Mr. B~ker of property known as the "Old School Building ". The request placed before the council was the continuation of the building for industrial use, and under the new ownership, under the terms of a special permit as pro~ided for in Paragraph (c), Subdivision 8, Section A, Village Zoning Ordinance No. ~6, as amended on December' 20th, 19~§. After deliber~_ti~_n by. t~e council, it was moved by Rondorf that Mr. Elliot B~~°~~d a permit to operate a li'ght, industrial plant in property known as the 01d School Bldg. under the ~conaitions as pro~ided in Paragraph (c), Subdiv. 8, Section A., Vi'll~ge Zoning~0rdinance No. A6. Newcomb supported 'this motion', t'he council carryin~ Further, on a motion by Newcomb, seconded by Broeckert, that proceedings be initiated to amend Zoning Ordinance No. A6, as past Dep. 20th, 19~8, in ~cc~rdance with sub-Section 6, Section to provide that the premises described in Sec. ~, 8, c be made industrlial and to strike from the ordinance such provisions of Section A, 8, c relating to non-conforming uses. This motion was car~$ed by the council. ~$~.~ The co~cil, as one of the purposes of the meeting, considered the · low bidi, with referende .to- vi.lla~e water mal~ installa$ions, of the Alexander Construction Co. of Minneapolis, and represented by MiltonB. Roelf. After discussion it was moved by Alwin, Broeckert concurring, that the council accept the bid of the Alexander ConstruCtion Co. under the te~ms of its proposal, as on file with the villag~ This motion was ~approved by. the council .... · with the §bo ~e~u~r~n~ Newcomb moved that all bid bonds Inandline~ifiedcer chebks~'~ d to the unsuccessful bidders. This motion was seconded by Broeckert, the council car~ing. In conn Alwin m 11, and' ection with control of the village sa~e, or vault box, oved the adoption of the following resolution, to wit: RESOLVED; That, until written notide to the contrary is given by this corporation (The Village of Mound) to the Sage Deposit Department of The Mound State Bank, access to the $afe Deposit Boxes (herein called safes) standing in the name of this cor- poration in the vaults of the above n~Lmed bank shall be had by the following: N. Bro eckert. two, Any~,PePson~of whom shall have full authority to enter said safes and to make deposits therein or remove any part or all of the ~ontents 8i4 VILLAGE OF MOUND thereof, to rent safes and to 'execute leases thereof in the name of this corporation, to amend or' cancel said leases, to exchange or surrender the safes, and in all other respects represent this c~rpor~tion.
