1946-10-08VILLAGE OF MOUND ~[[NUTEE OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF T. HE MOUND VILLAGE COUNCIL HELD. October 8th, 1946. The meet lng opened following a roll call of a full corem il. (. The minutes of the previ&us meeting ha~eing been.read and approved the council heard Mrs. E. F. Dullum, in the presence of Mrs. Engstrdm, in a contest as to who shall have title and use of a water tap an~ ~service fronting on Lot 8, blk. ~, Crevier's Subdiv. of Lafayette Park. Heretofore the tap had served both Lots 8&~ while / still ~.nder Mrs. Dullum!~s undivided ownership. Mayor Huestis reminded both women that the contest lay wholly between them / and th~.t the village in no way was a party to the controversy. The cmmcil heard the personal,petition of Lawrence Geral~ with refere~ce to rezoning Lots ~9, 80, and ~l, Auditor' s Subdiv. 167 Lots 4~, 47, 48, and 49, of Blk. 9, Mound Bay Park, and such portions of Lot,' 41 to 47 inclusive of Auditor's Subdiv. 167 as have been includ~ d, with the above, in the Commercial Zone; the intent of such r,~,zoning t.o be for purposes of li~xt industry. Rondorf mov ed that a hearing oe set for Tuesday, October ~2nd, 1946, and that it be adv,~rtised ~n the next issue of the Minnetonka Pilot. Newcomb suppor'~ed this motion, the council carrying. Adeleg~tion from the America~ Legion, Post ~98, appeaEed before the counci'.L in a petition for a ~.~ % beer and liquor license to serve liquor to Legion members in Club fashion. Otherwise qualifying for su.'~h a license under State and Village Law, it ~as moved by Rondor~ that a beer a~'~d liquor license be g ranted the ~merican Legion~ Post &98, on a strictly club b~_sis and that th~'fee charg~ be $°~8~00. This motion was supported oy Newcomb, and, on roll-call vote, ~he council stood as foll~w~: Yeas, Alwin, Rondorf, Broeckert l~ewcon~. Nays, none, and so tke motion was unanimously carried. In answer to K. Ka.~mman in his request for a beer and liquor license for the Ro'd ahd Gtm~Club Newcomb moved, Rondorf seconding, that ~f and when the Ro'd & Gun' Club csm qualify under State regulations . and Village Ordinance No. 8~ we issue t hem a license for 8.2 beer. This r~otion was unanimously 'apprbved by the council. Leste~ Scharman petition the council that the village assume the cost ~f a drain to take care of street drainage water from flooding Lots t, 2, 8, 4, & 8, Shirley Hills, Unit. G. The matter was ~bled pending an investigation. On a ~otion by Rondorf, Broeckert seconding, the council accepte.d · the b~d of G. A.
