Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Village the Village of Mound was held at the Council Room on Tuesday, the 12th ,tuber, 1946, at eight o'clock P.M. The following members were present: Louise Huestis, A.S. Newcomb, G.F. and R.J. Rondorf and LeRoy V. Alwin, Clerk. None were absent. The ;orney, Mr. Edwin A. Hendricks and Mr. Charles B. Howard of the firm of ~man, Barker, ~Scott & Barber were also in attendance. The President announced that the meeting was convened for the purpose 'ing the matter of the issuance of Certificates of Indebtedness on -~ater Main Improvement No. 8. The attorneys called attention to the ;he minutes of previous meeting of the Village Council did not set out ;ions required by statute for water main improvements. The minutes ;ings of April 2 and May 24, 1948, were examined in detail. Upon motion . seconded by Rondorf, the Village Clerk was instructed to correct the the meeting of April 2, 1948, by inserting therein the following to-wi t: "RESOLUTION FIXING HEARING ON ~A~R MAIN IMPROV~ENT. BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the l~mllage of Moun~, Minnesota, ~erk be directed to publish notice that the Council will meet on Friday, ~y of May, 1948, at eight o'clock P.M., for the purpose of considering a improvement in the following streets: THE HIGHLANDS: From the intersection of Highland Ave. and Highland down Highland Ave. to Greene Boulevard, down Greene Boulevard to a ~th the water main on ~idgeway ~ve. Another extension will start from terminus on Etate Highway llO, down Highway ll0 to Tuller, down Tuller ~e., down Mound Ave. to its intersection with County Highwe~ No. 44. ~NNESOTA BAPTISTS ASSemBLY ~ROUND: From the juncture of Highland ~nd Fairfield forming a loop along Fairfield back to Highland Boulevard; ~r loop taking off at Fairfield and Young Aves., and following the loop ~e., Huett Ave., and Tallant Avenue back to Fairfield, with a cross-arm ,~ve. $U B ~r~ VI SI ON S 0F MOUND Stf(~ES AND MOUND:' Water Mains will follow Drive from end to end, Koehler Terrace from end to end, Hillside Ave. ~rsection with Grand View Drive, Lake Str. between Koehler Terrace ~wn Elm Str. to Dewey, with a possible looping of the main along Dewey Terrace. KOEHLER'$ AD~TION AND LAKESIEE PARK: A new main extension will ~th from the intersection of Maple and Dell Streets, alcng Maple to ~ine of Lot 2?, Blk. 8, and the North line of Lot 4, Blk. 8, Lakeside And the minutes of the 'meeting of May 24, 1946, to show the following ~n and the adoption of the following resolution~ "The President announced that the meeting was open for the consideration of a waterI main improvement in accordance with the resolution adopted April 2, 1946. The~Clerk announced that no written objections had been filed in his office. Several property owners appeared and spoke for and against said improvement. 826 VILLAGE OF MOUND Upon motion by Newcomb, seconded by Rondorf, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: RESOLUTIO~ OF NECESSITY FOR CONSTRUCTIO~ OF ~ATRR MAIN I ~[PRC VE~'~~ T. BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village of Mound as follows: 1. The Vil~lage Council has met pursuant to notice as required by law to consider ell objections and arguments for and against a water main improvement and it is hereby determined that it is necessary to make a water in~rovement con- sisting of l~ing water mains and appurtenances along the following streets: THE HIGHLANDS: From the intersection of Highland Ave. and Highland Boulevard, down Highland Ave. to Greene Boul-evard, down Greene Boulevard to a juncture with the water main on Ridgeway Ave. Ahother extension will start from the hydrant terminus on State Highway llO, down Highway llO to Tuller, down Tuller to Mound Ave., dov~ ~ound Ave. to its intersection with County Highway No. 44. MINNESOTA BAPTISTS ASSE~iBLY QiGJND: From the juncture of Highland Boulevard and Fairfield forming a loop along Fairfield back to Highland Boulevard; with another loop taking off at Fairfield and Young Aves., and following the loop of Young Ave., Huett Ave., and Tallant Ave. back to Fairfield with a cross-arm alon~ Maple Ave. SUBEIVISIONS OF MOUND SHORES ~-D ~;OUND: ~%ater Mains will follow Grand View Drive from end to end, Koehler Terrace from end to end, Hillside Ave. to its intersection with Grand View Drive, Lake ~tr. between Koehler Terrace and Elm, down Elm ~Str. to Dewey, with a possible looping of the main along Dewey to Koehler Terrace. KOEHLER'S AD~I~iON AND LAKESIDE P~RK: A new main extension will ~'roject North from the intersection of Maple and Dell Streets, along Maple to the North line of Lot 27, Blk 6, and the North line of Lot 4, Blk. 8, Lakeside P ark. 2. Said improvement shall be made under the provisions or. Chapter 426, Session Laws of 1921, and said improvement shall hereafter be designated as Water Main Improvement No. 8. 3. Mr. Arleigh C. Smith of WaYzata, Minnesota, is hereby designated Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement. 4. The plans and specifications heretofore prepared by Arleigh C. Smith for said ~ater ~ain Improvement No. 8 are hereby approved." A vote being taken upon the foregoing motion, all present voted,in favor thereof and none voted against the same. ~hereupon the motion was declared ~uly adopted. Attest: President Secretary
