1948-03-06 VILLAGE OF MOUND COUNCIL, HELD MARCH 6th, 19~8. 907 Present at this meeting were Mayor Wm. I. Davis, Councilmen Newcomb, Pierce, and Winkel, with ~lwin Recording. Following discussion and by general agr~emen~ of the council Attorney Wo~er was authorized to~ contact t~e Auditor's Office. of Hennepin~with reference to the extention of the Water Main Assessment on Project No. 8 from ten to fifteen years. With reference to symptoms of the ~reak-down of Village Pump No. l, Winkel moved that the council authoriz* the overhauling of the pump by the.~ayn~-Minnesota Co., and that this company be referred to the Sanitation Division of the Minnesota Dept. of Health for descriptive detail covering the present pump. Pierce seconded this motion, the council car~ying. Newcomb moved that Mayor Davis be au~thorized t~ seek stenographic help in connection with recording the minutes of council meet- · ings. Alwin seconded the motion, the, council agreeing. On a motion by Newcomb, Winkel supporting, the council put itself on record as rejecting all bids with reference to the construction of a pump house over well No. 3. Newcomb moved to approve the two applications of E. J. BJerke for building permits covering dwellings for Lots l~&l$, blk. A. L. Crocker's 1st division of Lakeside Park, and Lots 8&9, blk. 8 of the same addition. Pierce seconded, the mobion, the.council agreeing. This business concluded, the meeting adjourned, to reconvene at such time as it found necessary and convenient.
