1,~INUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE B. OARD OF P~VIF,¥ HELD JULY 9th, 1948.
Responding to Joll-call were Dr. ~'¢illia~ I. Davis, A. S. Newcomb, and.
LeRoy V. Alwin. R. L. Pierce and B. F. ~.~rinkel were absent. Pre.sent,
also, to appear before the tax board were I'.lrs. Chas. Anderson,
Carl Johnson, and Louis $phns.
There was a question in the minds of those present of the B~ard as to
whether it was legal, or even desirable, to t~ake action on anything
without the presence of a full board. A. S. Newcomb, therefore,
presented the following resolBtion and moved its adoption:
RESOLVED, it being that there were only three present of a full
board o~ five members, and there being a question in the minds of those
present as to whether it. wouldbe legal, or even desireable, to take
action without a full board, ~
MOl%~, THEREFORE, be it resolved that this meeting be adjourned to
reconvene 5n Friday, July ~3rd, 1948, at 8 P. M.
The motion being for the a~option of the above resolution, and the vote
being all in favor and none against, the resolution was adopted.
