Ttie ~eeting opened with a hearing t '0 ~ay COX, who was present
'to consider the d~ipman A~e ~u~ve~ installations. After d~scussion
'~t was'agreed to proceed with the immediate installation of three
'culverts at 16cati°ns to be determined.by commonsense; the village
~o fugni~h two men and an air hamme~, and .Cox to ~urnish one man. ~

'having'been'dete~ed, the 61~rk was ~uthorized t0 proceed with the
'issuance 'of 'a check in the ~odnt ~of $~,[150.~0O, 'aamq .t .o be delivered

Following discussion with ~eference't0'liquor store help , this
in the presence of ~anager Kohout, it was agreed, without motion,
that Liquor Committemmen Pierce and ~'ihite meet with ~,~anager Kohout
and definitely make a choice as between police officer Feral.
Schwartz and C. E. Neumann.
Upon reviewing the liquor management's financial report for the
year 1948, and finding it inadequate due to too limited an accounting,
it was agreed that the clef k be authorized to present a more complete
report at the Regular Council ~eeting of ~arch 8th, 1949.
'With reference to the alternating of shifts by po!ic~ personnel,
a motion was made by ?finkel, seconded by Pierce~ that the salaries
of police be - Adams $200.00 per ~o., Schwartz $185.00 per ~o., car
allowances to be the same as previousl$ arranged, and that the
alternating of d~ and night shifts between the two men be left to
their discretion and as suit~[the requirements of the village. This
was carried.

depot and curb while parking or loa~ing passengers, and that they
other, lee be forced to conform with established traffic law~.
In a discussion of a possible appointee to the Assessor's post,
the following were mentioned as .likely .aand~at.e.$.:... J.a~
a ~ound Business D[en's choice, Roger le~ann, Irwin Kepke, Carl
Emerson, Harold ~smussen, l'~lyron Skow, and Edward BJerke. Geo.
Eugster, present as an observer, agreed to arrange for an inter-
view with Kepke, and Pierce agreed to see Enerson. Mayor Davi~
urged all councilmen to come prepared with a possible appointee for
the Regular D[eeting of ~[arch 8, 1949.
It was moved by ~f.iinkel, and seconded by Alwin, that the meeting
adjourn. This was carried. President
