Wlnkel, and carried unanimously, that the following be made a part of the minutes of this meeting: This council extends to ~.~.r. LeRoy Alwin, retiring Clerk of the Village of Hound, sincere thanks for all his years of faithful service to the Village and its citizens. The a~sis't~.nc~ he has given to them and to other council mem- bers in the. past is greatly apl, reciated; and he is aesured of our continuing regard and sincere good wishes for the future. Dr. Davis ~xpressed personally the thank~ of the council to ~..k.- Alwin, and Dr. Hucszis also spoke a few words on the same ~ubJect. .!v~. Bly was then welcomed by Dr. Davis on behalf of the council, and expressed his desire to be of service in co-operation with the council. Winkel, that the matter be tabled to tho VILLAGE OF MOUND 1151 adjourned meeting, .in the meantime .~?r. }~artin be contacted and asked to delet~ the fourth paragraph from hi~ letter of zccept- as s~ated by th~ law. Ca,tied unanimously. Dr. Dav'is ~xpres~ed the appreciation of the council ~or th~ work don~ b;~ the Citizens Co~ittee on appliczti~ns received. ~[r. Wolner reminded the council that the anrual report was to be received, accepted and prepared for publication. Th,~ Village _~ea~_urer not being pre~ent, this matte~ was car~'ied over to the ad j :~,u~ned meeting. ~.r. Charles Behling consulted the cour. cil regardinff better police protection duzing night a~-~d early morning hours. It wasagreed Zhat !ir. ~?nite o ~ ~.n~ Dr. Davis would confer with the officers to se: what a~rangements could be worked out. ~.,~otion by ~r. Winks,l, seconded by ?.r. Pierce, that the ~innetonka Pilot be designated the official paper for the village pu'~lica- fiche. Ca~ied. Motion by Pierce, sec.onded by ~[r.
