MINUTES OF RF~LAR MEETING, November 9, 195~'
Meeting called to order in the Village Office at 8:00 P.M.
Present were Mayor Be~mler, Trustees Pierce, Livingston, Litts,
and Wenkstern, Manager Leikvold and Attorney Bonham.
Minutes of the regular meeting of October lB, 1953 were read.
Pierce moved, Livingston seconded, and it was unanimously carried
to approve the minutes.
Livingston moved, Pierce seconded, and it was unanimously
passed to pay the following bills where funds are available:

way to Basement 150 67
Mr. Odemark of the Markson Company, which was burned out last
week, requested a permit to move the Brockton Real Estate Tract
office building to Lot 2 Auditors Subidivision #170 on a temporary
basis. Mr. Rondorf owns this land, but he would not own the build-
ing. Mr. Odemark also requested permission to move this building
back again in the spring.
After a short discussion, Pierce moved,Llvingson seconded and
it was carried unanimously to grant permission to place a tempor-
ary building on Lot 2, Auditors Subdivision #170, to be removed
before July l, 1954, provided Mr. Odemark posted a bond to cover
cost of moving building if it should become nemessary for the
village to move it after that time.
ETHEL KOEHLER'S GARAGE
Ethel Koehler requested the Council to grant her a permit to
finish the garage on her lot. This garage had been started with-
out a permit, and on checking, it was found that it did not comply
with the Village Zoning Ordinance. Litts moved, Livingston
seconded, and it was unanimously carried that the permit would be
granted subject to Ethel Koehler turning in a statement signed by
100% of her neighbors stating that they did not object to the

garage in its present location.
PARK PAVILION
After a short discussion on a proposed resolution to place the
disposition of the park pavilion before the voters at the December
8 election, Wenkstern moved, Lltts seconded, and it was unanimously
carried to instruct the Village Attorney to confer with the 0ounty
Attorney to determine the Villages' rights to the park land and
whether or not rights can be acquired.
SHIRLEY HILLS DRAINAGE
Pierce moved, Livingston seconded, and it was unanimously. ~
carried that if the school is favorable and willing to pay 1/~. or
1/~ of the costs (depending on whether or not the cednty would.be
willing~to go along), that the Council empower the Nanager to make
arrangements to have a ditch dug through the Shirley Hills School
grounds restoring the natural drainage, cost not to exceed $1§0 as
the Villages' share.
ELECTION TINE & BOARD
Livingston offered the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The hours of the election to be held December 8, 1953
are hereby established as from ?:00 A.N. thereof to
8:00 P.N. thereof;
-2. A copy of this resolution be posted according to law.
Litts seconded the motion and the roll being called the vote
was as follows:

And so the resolution was adopted.
Wenkstern moved, Pierce seconded, and it was carried unanimously
to approve the election board as laid out on the Agenda:
