After some discussion, Livingston moved, Litts seconded, and it was carried 'unanimously that the land valu- ation 'on Plat 61610, Parcel 3210 be reduced from $240 to $120 and that on Plat 61610, Parcel 3230 the land valuation be reduced from $520 to $380. on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting ad- journed at 10:00 P.M. Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Livingston, Litts, Wenkstern, and Manager Leikvold. Trustee Pierce was out of town. Minutes of the regular meeting of July 12 were read. VACATING ALLEY A petition was presented signed by the property owners af- fected asking for the vacation of an alley in Block l, Shirley Hills Unit A. Wenkstern moved that a hearing be called on this petition. Livingston seconded, and it was carried unanimously. ROAD BETWEEN STATE BANK AND LAKE LANGDON A letter was read from Mr. Koehler in which he offered to deed the Village the easterly 70 feet of Lots 13, 14, 15 and 16 and the easterly 50 feet or'Let 17~ VACATING NOTICE. NOTICE is hereby given that a hearing will be held on Septem- ber 13, 1954 at 8:00 p. m., in the village office in Mound relative to vacating of all of an unnamed alley or street in Block 1, Shir- ley Hills Unit A. Carsten Leikvold " Village Manager (Sept. 2-9)' all in Kennedy,s Subdivision of Lo~ ~6 " Lynwold Park, to be used for road P~rP~ses. ' '' He also offered to give the Village an option for $1.00 for one year tc buy the remainder of the same lots for the sum of $450 plus what- ever taxes and interest will have accumulated. ' ' SHIRLEY HILLS DRAINAGE The Manager reported on the Shirley Hills drainage. No action taken by the Council. MOUND PAVILION Livingston moved, Litts seconded and it was passed unanimously to advertise for bids on the com- plete tear down or removal outside of the village limits of the Mound Pavilion. Work must be completed by April 1, 1955. Trustee Pierce arrived late. EMPLOYEE SALARIES The Manager presented a position classification for each employee ~hich was prepared by the United States Employment Ser- vice. Litts moved, Wenkstern seconded and it was unanimously carried that the Manager be instructed to contact the Union to see if they would revise their salary schedule in conformity with the new positionclassification- CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSIT P.I.R.
