1954-10-111502 VILLAGE OF MOUND Minnesota Statutes Annotated Section 179.57 as amended. The Manager stated that he was of the opinion from the minutes that negotiations were not closed but would like Council verification on that. Wenkstern moved, Pierce seconded and it was unanimously carried that the Manager be instructed to write to the Union that the Council is of the opinion that negotiations are not closed because the Union has not considered anything other than its original demands. On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting ad j ourned. I ~'~ Village M~nager Mayor MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING October 11, 1954 Meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. at the Village office. Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Litts, Wenkstern, Pierce and ' Livingston, Manager Leikvold and Attorney Bonham. Minutes of the regular meeting of September 13 were read. Pierce moved, Litts seconded and it was unanimously carried to approve the minutes as read. Minutes of the regular adjourned meeting of September 27 were read. Litts moved, Wenkstern secoD~ed, and it was unanimously carried that the minutes be approved as read. Minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of September 28 were read. Livingston moved, Wenkstern seconded and it was unanimously carried that the minutes be approved as read. Minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of October 4 were read and on motion by Pierce, seconded by Livingston, were approved as read. VACATING F0~EST LANE Pierce offered the following and moved its adoption: WHEREAS, the owners of the property abutting that part of Forbear Lane which runs northerly from Elm Street to Maple Lane in Mound Terrace except the northerly thirty I30) feet, according to the plat thereof in the office of the Registrar of Titles in and for Hennepin County, Minnesota, has requested the Council of the Village.of Mound in a petition dated September 13, 1954 to vacate said street according to law, and ~HEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 11, 1954 before the Village Couhcil in the Village Hall on such petition after due published and posted notice had been given by the clerk on ,REQUEST FOR BIDS The Village of Mound will re- ceive bids for a 1954 Model two (2). ton truck and a snow plow. Specifications are on file in the Mound Village Office. Cash or certified check equal to ten per cent. (10%) of the total must accompany each bid. Behmler, Mayor of the Village of Mound, hereby call a special meeting of the Village Council to be held in the Village Hall, October 14, 1954 at 8:00 P.M. You are hereby directed to give notice of the meeting to each member of the Village Council. Edward J. Grieshaber, head bartender, Litts moved, Pierce seconded and it was unanimousl.v carried to increase the amount of money on hand for check cashing purposes by $1,000. MUNICIPAL BUILDING Pierce moved that an option to run 6 months be obtained from Mr. Bronson to sell the Village Lots 9, lC, ll and 12, Block 3, Shirley Hills Unit "D" for the sum of $2,850 and that $50 be given for the option. Litts seconded the motion and it was carried un animou sly. Litts moved that the architects be authorized to go ahead with preliminary plans on a Fire Station as soon as the option on the property is obtained. Livingston seconded, and it was carried un animou sly. On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 12:00 to reconvene October 20th. Attest: Village ~anager Mayor ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING October 20, 1954 Meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. at the Village Office. Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Litts and Wenkstern, Manager Leikvold and Attorney Bonham. WAGES Approximately two hours was spent discussing the 1955 wages with Gardiner, the Union Agent. No action was taken. MUNICIPAL BUILDING The Manager reported to the Council that he had been unable to get an option from Mr. Bronson on his property in Shirley Hills and that Mr. Bronson no longer wanted to sell this land to the Village. Wenkstern moved that an option, to run 6 months, be obtained from Mr. Wolner to sell the Village Lots 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23, Block 3, Shirley Hills Unit "F" for the sum of $2,850. Litts seconded the motion and on a roll call the vote was as follows: Ayes: Wenkstern Nayes: Litts Behmler And so the motion was carried. None
