1954-12-08VILLAGE OF MOUND CANVASSING BOARD MEETING December 8, 1954 The Council meeting as a Canvassing Board was called order at 8:00 P.M. Present were Mavor Behmler, Trustees Wenkstern and Livingston and Manager Leikvold. Wenkstern offered the following resolution and moved its ad opt ion: !~TEREAS, on December 7, 19~4, a Village Election was duly held in the Village of Mound for the election of Trustee for the term of three (3) years, a Constable for the term of t~o (2) years, and a Justice of the Peace for the term of two (2) years, and, WHEREAS, the Judges for said election,having d'uly counted the votes cast therein, proclaimed the results and recorded the same in the tally book provided for the purpose as follows: Trustee - 3 years J. S. Adams 114 Raymond N. Litt s 139 Louis P. Sohns 9 Geo. Eugster (write in) 1 Constable - 2 years 01lie J. Hall 217 Louis Sohns (write in) 2 Vern Anderson 4 Rock Lindlan 3 Howard .Om 1 John Skinner 1 Frank Ad ams 1 Frank Wei!end, Jr. ! Justice of Peace - 2 years Arthur p. Guy, Sr. 189 Kenneth Walters 67 a~ND ~R~REAS, pursuant to M.S.A. #212.36, the Village Council shall meet as a Canvassing Board and declare the results appearing from said returns, and, ~fHEREAS, pursuant to said statute, the Village Council now meets as a Canvassing Board for such purpose, ~ ~ Be It Resolved That: NOW,TH ~R~FORE, 1. The following persons are declared elected to the following offices: Trustee -- Raymond N. Litts Constable -- 01lie J. Hall Justice of Peace -- ~rthur p. Guy, Sr. 2. The Village Clerk is hereby instr~cted to give written notice to each person choson of his election to the off ica named and to certifT~ the results of said election to the County Auditor. Livingston seconded the 'motion to adopted said resolution and on a roll call the vote was as follows: Livingston Aye Wenks tern .&ye Behmle r Aye And so the resolution was carried. On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting ad- journed at 8:15. Attest. Vill age g M nager MIN-u-TES OF REGULAR MEETING - December 13, 1954 Meeting was called to order in the Village Office at 8:00 P.M. Present were Trustees Pierce, Wenkstern, Litts, Mayor Behmler, ^ttorne.v Bonh~m and Manager Leikvold. Minutes of the regular meeting of November 8 were read. On motion by Litts, seconded by Pierce, it was ananimously carried to approve the minutes as read. Minutes of the Special Meeting of November 20 were read. On motion by Litts and a second by Wenkstern, the minutes were approved as read. Pierce did not vote. Pierce would like to be on record that he is opposed to the resolution dealing with wages and hours on page 1512 of the Minute Book. Wenkstern moved, Pierce seconded and it was unanimously , carried to approve the minutes of the adjourned ~eeting of November 29. Minutes of the Canvassing Board Meeting were read. Wenkstern moved, Pierce seconded and it was unanimously carried to aprJrove the minutes as read. ' ~
