2. The Village Clerk is hereby instructed to give written
notice to each person chosen of his election to the
offic~ named and to certify the results of said election
to the county Auditor.
Livingston seconded the 'motion to adopted said resQlution and
on a roll call the vote was as follows:

MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING - December 13, 1954
Meeting was called to order in the Village office at 8:00 P.M.
present were Trustees pierce, Wenkstern, Litts, Mayor Behmler,
Attorney Bonham and Manager Leikvold.
Minutes of the regular meeting of November 8 were read. On
motion by Litts, seconded by pierce, it was ~nanimously carried
to approve the minutes as read.
Minutes of the Special Meeting of November 20 were read. on
motion by Litts and a second by Wenkstern, the minutes were approved
as read. pierce did not vote.
pierce would like to be on record that he is op~0osed to the
resolution dealing with wages and hours on page l~12 of the Minute
Book.
wenkstern 'moved, pierce second~d, and it was unanimously
carried to approve the minutes of the adjourned meeting of
November 29.
Minutes of the Canvassing Board Meeting were read. Wenkstern
moved, Pierce seconded and it was unanimously carried to approve
the minutes as read.

MUNICIPAL BUILDING
Litts moved that the architects, fee of $250 be paid and
that a letter be sent with the check stating 6hat the bill is
paid with the anderstanding that preliminarw sketches suitable
for publication be drawn by the architects at no extra cost.
Pierce seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
TRUCK
Pierce moved that Mickelson,s bill in the amount of $2,792
for the new truck be paid and tk~t a letter be sent with the
check stating that the bill is paid with the understanding that
all defects be taken care of by the time of the 1,O00 mile check-
up. Wenkstern seconded, and it was carried unanimously.

VACATI ON
East Lane
~,.~IEREAS, the owner of the property abutting the southerly
130 feet of East Lane, according to the plat thereof in the office
of the Registrar of Titles in and for Hennepin County, Minnesota,
has requested the Council of the Village of Mound in a petition
dated October ~, 1954 to vacate said street according to law, and
~.~,~TERE~S, a public hearing was held on November 8, 19~4 before
the Village Council in the Village Hall on such petition after due
published and posted notice had been given bv the clerk on October
14, 19~4 and all persons interested were given an opportunity to
be heard, and
[~EREAS, it appears that it will be for the best interest of
the Villa.'[.[e to approve such p~tition,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That such petition is hereby
granted and the said street above described is vacated as a
public street.

Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees-Livingston, Litts and Pierce,
Manager Leikvold and Attorney Bonham.
Minutes of the regular meeting of December 13, 1954 were read.
Pierce moved, Litts seconded, and it was unanimously passed to
approve the minutes as read.
