1956-02-131628 VILLAGE OF MOUND MINUTES OF REGULAR M~,~TING, February 13, 1956 Meeting called to order in the Village Office at 8:00 P.M. Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Livingston, Pierce, ampi Adams, Manager Leikvold and Attorney Bonham. Minutes of the regular meeting of January 9th were read. Livingston moved, Adams seconded, and it was unanimously carried to approve the minutes as read· Minutes of the meeting of January 23rd were read. Adams moved, Livingston seconded, and it was unanimously carried to approve the minutes as read. Minutes of the meeting of January 30th were read· Adams moved, Livingston seconded and it was unanimously caz-~-ied to approve the minutes with the under- standing that the C.D.;'s mentioned as $19,000 be changed to $18,500 (Bond & Tnt ere st ). Livingston moved that $56.00 be loaned to Project 6 from the Liquor Fund. Pierce seconded the motion and it was unanimously carried. H. "B" Dwelling 15,000 3 TEMPORARY Pierce moved that Harry Marbin be appointed acting temporary manager. MANAGER Livingston seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously. AUDIT The Manager was directed to have the books audited through 1955 to February 1st, 1956. PRIM~_RY ELECTION Trustee Pierce offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: BE IT RESOLVED THAT: (1) The Presidential Primary Election be held on March 20, 1956 at the new fire hall and that the hours of the election be set at from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. (2) The judges and clerks of the election and their alternates be 1630 VILLAGE OF MOUND as follows: Clerks J~udges Norma Alwin Mrs. Hans Hanson Mrs. K. Kammann Mrs. Gordon Batdorf Alternates Mrs. Ralph March Rev. Obert Voll Mrs. Les Scharmann Adams seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously. HOU?~ & SALARY Adams offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. Effective upon the confirmation of a permanent Village Manager, the hours of village employees who are members of Public Employees Union, Local 918, except for the police, shall be set at 40 hours per week, with no overtime except by permission of the Village Manager in cases of emergency and necessity; 2. The hours of the police, who are members of Public Employees Union, Local No. 918, shall remain at 44 hours per week; 3. Salaries of village employees who are members of Public Employees Union, Local No. 918, under the 40 and 44-hour week, set in para- graph 1 above, are to be increased $25.00 per month over the 1955 salaries of such employees, effective February 1, 1956; 4. Sick leave of village employees who are members of Public Employees Union, Local No. 918, including the police who are members of said union, shall accumulate at the rate of one day per month to a maximum of 60 days, effective February 1, 1956. Livingston seconded the motion and the roll being called, the vote was: Pierce Nay Adams Yea Livingston Yea Behmler Yea and so the motion was carried.
