MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING, Maroh 12, 1956
Meeting called to order in the Village Office at 8,05 P.M. Present were
Mayor Behmler, Trustees Pierce, Livingston, Litts and~Adams, Attorney Bonham,
and.acting Manager Harry Martin.
Minutes of Regular Meeting of February 15,-1956 were read. Pierce moved,
Livingston seconded, ead it was unanimously carried to approve the minutes as
read.
Minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of February 14, 1956 were read.
Pierce moved, Adams seconded, md it was unanimously carried to approve the
minutes as read.
Minutes of the adjourned regUlar meeting of February 27, 1956 were read.
Livingston moved, Litts seconded, and it was unanimously carried to approve the
minutes as read.

moved its adoptiont.
WNEREAS, the Village Covmcil of the Village of Mound, Henuepin County,
Minnesota, has received from the County Auditor 'of Hennepin County, Minnesota,
a list of leads in said village which became the property of the State of
Minnesota under the ~provisions of law declaring the forfeiture of l~ds to the
State for non-ps,meat of taxes, which said list has been designated as Classification
List "405-0", February 14, 1956~ and
. WHEREAS, each parcel of l~d described in said list has heretofore been
classified by the Board of County Commissioners ~of Hennepin County, Minnesota
as non-conservation land and the sale thereof ham heretofore been authorized
by said Board of County Commissioners;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by said Village Council, acting pursuant
to Minnesota Statutes for 1949, Section 282.01, Subd. 1, thatthe said class-
ification by said Board of Oo~mty Commissioners of eanhpareel of lead described
in said list as non-conservation, except parcels No.~ ~7251 amd $7252 "Mound
Shores", be amd the same is hereby approved amd~that the sale of each such parcel

P~ent of the bills submitted by Herbert' Miller covering the hockey rink
near Shirley Hills School is to be held up until the material is properly stored
with +ge Village md Mr. Miller and the Athletic Club or Upper Tonka Council are
to understand that the Village council is not establishing a precident in this
payment ~ ~ade without previous authorization and it is to be strictly under-
stood that in the future the Village council will not pay such bills without
prior authorization, of the Village.

that permission be granted Mr. Hayes Daltca to hold the Teen Age Dan~e affair
in accordance with the provisions in their request~ Motion carried una-~ously.
NE~ LIQUOR STORE SITE
Mr. Mickelsc~ offers the cooperation of the advisory group of the Mound Ch~nber
of Conrac. rcs and the Greater Mound, ~nc~., that the dump site be considered for
a new liquor store site.
~ILDING PERMIT
Mo~ion Pierce, seconded Adams, that buil~ng permit be granted for Overby
addition to their present building on lot 5 Sharp & Lindquist Eastlawn
Addition in accordance with the building inspector recommendation. Mo~ion
carried.
BROCKERT BUIL rrNG
Read the communication from Pete Sorenson advising ~be council that to
avoid accidents and other hazards he is demolishing the old Brookert Building.

FIRE HALL CONTRACT
Motion Litts, seconded Pierce that we pay Adolfson and Peterson, Inc.
$1,221.05, due on Fire Hall Contract when funds are available. Motion
carried unanimously.
M~ed Livingston, seconded Pierce we adjourn to meet at the Mound High
School March 19th, 8:.00 P.M. to have Pfeifer ami Shultz give their report on
the Sewer Survey in this public meeting.

MIN~ES OF ADJOURNED REG~IAR MEETING, March 19, 1956
Meeting called to order at the Mound Hight School at StlO P.M. by MayOr
Behmler. Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Pierce, livingston, Litts,
Adorns and Acting Manager Harry Martin.
SEWER SYSTEM
Mayor Behmler outlined the matter of Sewage Sewer System and the survey
with one to eight or more items on which the engineers will report. Mr. L. J.
Wheeler was introduced and outlined this report. Discussion continued in a very
orderly manner for an hour and one-half.
Mr. Behmler brought out the reaction that the petitioners be interested and
tak~ part in further stmdy and consideration of the sewage problem.
Dale Mickelson offered his advisory board to help the council on the sewer
problem.
NARB(R LIMITS
Council authorized Livingston to represent the council on the matter of an or-
dinance establishing harbor limits and prohibiting nusinauces on the lake ad-
joining the Village of Mound.~
Behmler suggested starting to review applications for Manager position
this meeting was adjourned to meet at 9 A.M. March 24th at the Fire Hall.
