KESWICK CHAPEL
Motion by Lockhart, seconded by Livingston that a building penuit be
given for the Keswict[ Chapel in ~*~ ilighlands. The motion was carried
unanimously.
The permit to be granted on basis of a gentlemen's agreement that
the persons involved present a sewage disposal plan approved by the
Minnesota State Health Department, to the Village Council by July 23, 1956
adjourned meeting.
The meeting adjourned to meet again on July 23, 1956 at 7 P.M. at
the village office, at the Tax Equalization Board Meeting.

Request read for a street light in Brookton Addition on Brook%on
Drive and Clover Lane. Motion by Lockhart, seconded by Livingston
that the Village Manager take care of the request.

MAYOR,S COMMITTEE ON MOUND SWAMP OR
LOST LAKE
The Mayor's Committee relative to the Mound Swamp, Langdon Lake
improvement met with the council. The procedure for the improvement was
carefully laid before the council. The procedure is; the state initiate
the project: the county to complete the project, and it was understood
that the Village would assmme No financial responsibility for the project.
The council was very favorable-~o the procedure as outlined and urged
the committee to continue its efforts in the pursuit of that procedure.

The sewage disposal system for the new chapel vms discussed. The
Manager was directed to write them a letter stating the the plan is okay
if they have the sand for the dr~/ wel4 also at time of installation it
must be approved by the Village Building Inspector. (,See letter in file)

Council Chamber at the Village of Mound on August 9, 19~6 at 8:00 P.M. thereof
to pass upon the proposed assessment for the inprovement of Highway No.
15 as follows:
1. From the West line of Highway No. 110 to the East line of Lake
Street on the Southerly-Side of said HighWay No. 15 and from the
West line of Highway No. 110 to the North line of Lot 30, Lynwold
Park, on the Northerly and Easterly side of said Highway No. 15
by the installation of curb and gutter, and
2. From the l~%st Line of Highway No. 110 to the No,th line of Lot
30, Lynwold Park, on the Northerly and Easterly.side of said
Highway No. 15 by the installation of a sidewalk.

the Village Manager was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of
improving Highway ~15 as follows:
1.From the West line of Highway No. 110 to the East line of Lake Street on the
Southerly side of said Highway ~1§ and from the Nest line of Highway SI10 to the
North line of Lot 30, Lynwold Park, on the Northerly and Easterly side of said
Highway No. 15 by the installation of curb and gutter, and,
2. From the west line of Highway No. 110 to the North line of Lot 30,
Lynwold Park, on the Northerly and Easterly aide of said Highway S18 by the
installation of a sidewalk, and,
3. From the South line of Highway Si8 to the North line of railroad right
of way and the West side of Lake Street including Lots 33 to AO, for curb and
gutter on Lake Street, and,
WHEREAS, the Village Manager has notified the council that such proposed
assessment has been completed and filed in his office for public inspection,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MOUND, MINNESOTA:
1. A hearing shall be held on the 9th day of August, 1956 in the village hall
at 8sOO P.M. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all
persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity
to be heard with reference to euch assessment.
2. The village manager is hereby directed to cause a notice of hearing on the
proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two
weeks prior to the hearing, and he shall state in the notice the total cost of
the improvement.

RIVAP~ PROPERTY
The division of the Rivard Property, present ovmer White Investment
Company, 712 2nd Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota, was discussed.
The motion was made that the Village Assessor be directed to certify to the
County Auditor the division of the ~iv~rd property for real estate tax
purposes.
Motion by Adams, seconded by Livingston.
Adams withdrew motion, seconded by Livingston.
