SPECIAL COUNCIL ME,PING August 2~, 19~6
The special meeting was called to order at the Mound Village Fire Hall
at l0 A.M. Present were Mayor Behmler, trustees Pierce, Livingston, Adams,
and Loc~art, Village Manager Vernon Boxell. The Mayor's Committee, A. S.
Brazman, Walter Huestis, O. L. Kaupan~er, PoY £. Slent~z, Harry Olson, and
Harry Martin.
The special meeting was called as a conference of Mayor's advisory
committee on (Lost Lake or Mound S~mp) and Village Council on improvements
to be made on this area.
Proposals to be carried out by the Village Manager:
A. Obtain or set up a plat of the area to be improved.
B. Examine and check the deeds of property owners involved in this area
as to ,
1. Amount of property the deed calls for,
2. Have taxes been kept up.
Motion by Lockhart, seconded by Pierce, all in favor of the above
proposals. Motion carried.
Motion by Lockhart, seconded by Pierce, after this information has
been compiled a meeting of the Mayor's Committee and Council is to be called
for purpose of Eoing over this data, and deciding the next step to take.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion was made that the meeting be adjourned.

Your petitioners, Edward Ro&A and Pontie Seifert, respectfully
represent to the 0ouncil as follows:
1. You= petitioner, Edward Ross is the owner of the follow-
ing described property located in the Village of Mound:
That part of Government Lot 1, Section 14, Township 117,
Range Z4, described as: Commencing at a point in 0ounty
Road 10 rods South of the Northeast corner of Lot 1,
Section 14, Township 117, Range Z4, thence North along
County Road 10 rods, thence West along North line of
said Lot 1 to Water's edge on shore of Dutch Lake, thence
Southerly along shore of Dutch Lake to a point 10 rods
due South of the North line of said Lot 1, thence East
and parallel to the North line of said Lot 1 to-the point
Of beginning;
~. Your petitioner, Pontie Seifert, contemplates purchasing
the above described property for the purpose of erecting thereon
a mortuary and home. He is informed and believes that said property
is now zoned residential and before he may erect a mortuary thereon,
it is essential that the property be rezoned commercial.
Wherefore your petitioners request that the above described
property be rezoned commercial.
