REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING September ?, 1956
The meeting was called to order at the Village Office at
8:00 P.M. Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Pierce, Livingston,
Adams, and Lockhart, Attorney Bonham and Village Manager Vernon
Boxell.
Minutes of the regular meeting of August 6, 1956 were read.
Lockhart moved, Livingston seconded that the minutes be approved
as read. Motion carried.
Minutes of the Adjourned Regular Meeting of August 9, 19§6
were read. Motion by Livingston, s~conded by Lockhart that the
minutes be approved as read. Motion carried.
Minutes of the Special Council Meeting of AugUst ~5, 1956
were read. Motion by Livingston, seconded by Adams that the
minutes be approved as read. Motion carried.
Minutes of the Adjourned Regular Meeting of August 97, 1956
.were read. Motion by Livingston, seconded by Adams that the
minutes be approVed as read. Motion carried.
DRIVER PE~ITS
Mrs. Philllp Lush, 0rono, Rt. #1, Mound, appeared before the
council-and pointed out the hazard' s developing-from the practice
of the state issuing Driver Permits. ~
Motion-by Pierce, seconded by Lookhart that the Village
Manager either by letter of personal interview with Supt, of Schools
District ~85, discuss this matter and try and find the best means
to stop-this trouble. Also to publish in the Pilot what is to be
done.~ Motion carried. ~

mortuary to be located on the Edward Ross property, which must be
rezbned from residential to commercial.
Motion by Pierce, seconded by Livingston to have notice of
public hearing published ~nd date~of hearing to be Monday, Sept-
ember-2A, ~19§6 at 8:00~P.t~i~ ~at the Village ~HalI. Motion carried.
WHITE INVESTMENT PP/)PERTY
.- The council as a group will look over-the 'site of the White
Investment Property, formerly Homer Rivard Property, Saturday,
September-8; 19§6 at 10:00 A.M. Fr~m this investigation, l~ss Bonham was
instructed ~o Write ~' letter to l~ite Investment Co., ED BJERKE PROP~tT¥
copy-of' which is attached hereto.
The council as a group will look over the Ed BJerke Property,
Lake Avenue, Highway #110 and 01d ~, in regard to fill, Saturday
September 8, 1956 at 10:00 A.M.

VILLAGE OF MOUND
LOST LAKE OR MOUND SWAMP PROJECT
Two committees were appointed by Mayor Behmler. The first
to prepare a list of property owners affected by the poJect and
the amount of property to either be asked for or in some cases
to be added to individual owners of said parcels of property.
This committee to be made up of the following persons: · '
Mr. Harry Martin Mr. George Lockhart
Mr. Lloyd Bowers Mr. Vernon Boxell
Mr. James Adam s
The secon~committee will handle the legal matters in regard to
obtaining the necessary property. The two members will be:
Miss Bonham, Village Attorney
Harry 01son, Attorney
A meeting date was set for Saturday, September l§, 19§6 at
10:OO A.M. at the Fire Station. The meeting will inclUde the
Village Council and the M~yors AdvisOry Committee.

APPOINTMENT OF PATROLMAN
Vernon Anderson,s resignation was presented to the council·
Lamont Welland was recommended to fill the vacancy. The council
was in favor of this 'recommendation.
The meeting was adjourned to meet on Saturday September 15,
19§S at 10:00 A.M. at the Mound Fire Station.
