2010-01-12MOUND HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY JANUARY 12, 2010 The Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Mound, Minnesota, met in regular session on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at 7:25 p.m. in the council chambers of city hall. Members present: Chair Mark Hanus; Commissioners David Osmek, Ray Salazar, and Heidi Gesch. Members absent: Commissioner Greg Skinner Others present: Executive Director Kandis Hanson, City Clerk Bonnie Ritter 1. Open meetina Chair Hanus called the meeting to order at 7:25 p.m. 2. Approve agenda MOTION by Osmek, seconded by Salazar to approve the agenda. All voted in favor. Motion carried. 3. Approve minutes MOTION by Osmek, seconded by Salazar to approve the minutes of the December 8, 2009 meeting. All voted in favor. Motion carried. 4. Approve claims MOTION by Osmek, seconded by Gesch to approve claims in the amount of $54,563.92. All voted in favor. Motion carried. 5. Action on Resolution Makina a Selection not to Waive Statutory State Limits MOTION by Osmek, seconded by Salazar to adopt the following resolution. All voted in favor. Motion carried. RESOLUTION NO. 10 -01 H: RESOLUTION MAKING A SELECTION NOT TO WAIVE THE STATUTORY TORT LIMITS FOR LIABILITY INSURANCE PURPOSES 6. Action on Resolution Approving Energy Efficiency and Conservation Grant Application MOTION by Salazar, seconded by Osmek to adopt the following resolution. All voted in favor. Motion carried. RESOLUTION NO. 10 -021-1: RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND CONSERVATION BLOCK GRANT APPLICATION 7. Adjourn MOTION by Salazar, seconded by Gesch to adjourn at 7:27 p.m carried. Motion MOUND HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY RESOLUTION 10 -01 H RESOLUTION MAKING A SELECTION NOT TO WAIVE THE STATUTORY TORT LIMITS FOR LIABILITY INSURANCE PURPOSES WHEREAS, pursuant to previous action taken, the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust has asked the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Mound to make an election with regards to waiving or not waiving its tort liability established by Minnesota Statutes 466.04; and WHEREAS, the choices available are; to not waive the statutory limit, to waive the limit but to keep insurance coverage at the statutory limit, and to waive the limit and to add insurance to a new level; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Mound, Minnesota, to hereby elect not to waive the statutory tort liability established by Minnesota Statute 466.04; and, that such election is effective until amended by further resolution of the Mound HRA. 1 Adopted by the City Council this 12 day of January, 2010 Attest: Bonnie Ritter, City Clerk - #4t'L 4---- Chair Mark Hanus 1 1 MOUND HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY RESOLUTION NO. 10 -02H RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND CONSERVATION BLOCK GRANT APPLICATION BE IT RESOLVED by the Mound Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA), supports and approves the submittal of an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant application to the Minnesota Department of Commerce, Office of Energy Security for the energy efficiency upgrades at HRA Buildings.
