CHICKENS MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING, May 13, 1958 8:00 P.M. - Mound Fire Station The meeting was called to order by MaYor Behmler present were Trustees, Livingston, Adams, Larson, Brazman and Manager Boxell The minutes of the regular meeting of April 16, 1958 were read and approved upon a motion by Brazman, second by Livingston and a unanimous vote in favor. The minutes of adjourned meeting of April 29, 1958 were read, and accepted upon motion by L&rson and second by Brazman with the following correction: "The council instructs the manager to secure information on the procedure and method used in the acceptance of plats by the Village Council." These two pieces of Highways are the ones recently returned to the Village by the County. Larson moved the Council instruct the Mana=er to contact the Engineer, Mr. Larry Wheeler of Pfeifer and Shultz,financial consultant, Mr. Robert Sanders of Juran and Moody, for cost estimations and various means of assessing the cost of construction of a sewage ~;stem and plant. Using Saunders Lake as the plant site and disposal area of the effluent and have the engineer verify the adequacy or approval of this site by the State Board of Health. These facts to be presented at a council meeting of May 22, 1958 8 P.M. ~t the Fire Station. The members of the Mound Planning Commission are to be invited. The Village Attorney to look into the availability of the property needed for this plant in the Saunders Lake area. Adams seconded, the vote was unanimous in favor. Carried LIQUOR STORE SEWAGE 1826 VILLAGE OF MOUND STREET VACATING A petition was presented by Fred and Mabel Falk to vacate part of Leach Ave. thai is adjacent to Block 7 on the South, in the Minnesota Baptist Assembly Grounds. ENDORSE- MENT OF PLaN BY Mayor ADJOURNED MEETING OF MAY 22, 1958 - 8 P.M. - Mound, Fire Station Present: M~ror Behmler, Trustees Livingston, Adams, Larson, Brazman, Village Attorney, Ploetz and Manager Boxell. Members of the Mound Planning Co~mission, Engineers, Mr. Larry ~neeler, John Bearden of Pfeifer and Shultz Engineering Co., Mr. James Olson of Juran-Moo~, Financial Consultants. Mr. Wheeler gave a r.~.sume of the past history of the Sewage Survey for Mound. He stated Mr. Rogers, chfef Engineer of Water pollution of the State of Minne~;ota has given his approval of the Sm~nders Lake plant site. Mr. ~'~eeler also presented a new proposal for the sewage collection system, still retaining the Saunders Lake ?lant site. Mr. James Olson presented a financial breakdown and methods of financing a sewage system and disposal plant. Brazman moved to endorse the principle of the tentative sewage co].lection system plan as presented by Mr. ~eeler of Pfeifer and Shultz, May 22, 1958; as a point of departure for further action. ~ Seconded by Larson, ~he vote was u~animous in favor. ACQO!RING SAUNDERS LAKE PROPERTY Livingston moved that the Village Attorney be instructed to investigate the possibility of acquiring the Saunders Lake area rot a sewage disposal olant site. ~ Adams seconded and the vote was unanimously in favor.
