SF~AGE ENDORSE- MENT OF PLAN BY MOTI~)N ~ ACQUIRING SAUNDERS LAKE PROPERTY Mayor ADJOURNED MEETING OF MAY 22, 1958 - 8 P.M. - Mound, Fire Station Present: Mayor Behmler, Trustees Livingston, Adams, Larson, Brazman, Village Attorney, Ploetz and Manager Boxell. Members of the Mound Planning Commission, Engineers, Mr. Larry ~neeler, John Bearden of Pfeifer and Shultz Engineering Co., Mr. James Olson of Juran-Moody, Financial Consultants. Mr. Wheeler gave a r,~sume of the past history of the Sewage Survey for Mound. He stated Mr. Rogers, chief Engineer of Water pollution of the State of Minnesota has given his approval of the Saunders Lake plant site. Mr. Wheeler also presented a new proposal for the sewage collection system, still retaining the Saunders Lake ~lant site. Mr. James Olson presented a financial breakdown and methods of financing a sewage system and disposal plant. Brazman moved to endorse the principle of t.he tentative sewage collection system plan as presented by Mr. Wheeler of Pfeifer and Shultz, M~v 22, 1958; as a point of departure for further action. Seconded by Larson, the vote was unmnimous in favor. Livingston moved that the Village Attorney be instructed to investigate the possibility of acquiring the Saunders Lake area for a sewage disposal plant site. Adams seconded and the vote was unanimously in favor. Carried VILLAGE OF MOUND 1827. Larson movec~ that the Village Manager is instructed to contact tho State Public Examiner, Mr. Raymond Vecellio, in regard to the pro- cedure that was followed in the Informal Meeting of May 19, 1958, regarding an informal discussion on the audit made by the state for the village of Mound, and that a letter of explanation be forwarded to the Edi±or of the Minnetonka Pilot, Mr. Eugene Cart. Enclose a clipping of the editorial regardin~ the audit meeting in the May 22, 1958 issue of the Minnetonka Pilot for the State Public Examiner. Livingston seconded and the motion was carried by unanimous vote in favor. The meeting was adjourned upon motion by Brazman a~ d second by Adams, to Adjourned Meeting of May 2?, 1958; motion carried by unanimous vote in favor. Meeting adjourned. PUBLIC EXAMINER MINUTES OF ADJOURNED MEETING OF May 27, 1958 - 8:00 P.M. - Fire Station M~ror Behmler called the meeting to order, present were Trustees Livingston, Adams, Larson, Brazman, Village Attorney, Ploetz and Manager Boxell. Adams moved the Petition for rezoning of lots 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 of Lynwold Park, Kennedys Subdivision of Lot 56 by Mr. Carl Madsen be continued for further stu~by the Planning Commission; until the regular monthly meetinE of the Council - Sept. 9, 1958. REZONING HEARING Brazman seconded and trhe vote was unanimous in favor; so carried. Plat Approval Petition presented by Mr. William Dressel, Langdon H~i~htSPlat. PLAT APPROV AL Brazman offered the following Resolution and moved its approval, WHEREAS, be it resolved that the Council of the Village of Mound i~ of the opinion that the proposed plat of Langdon Heights fails to serve public welfare and public safety ~ reason of deficiency in the width of the egress street as shown thereon, and therefore the petitioner's applica~'ien for approval of said plat is denied. That denial shall be with thePrivilege to renew said application provided petitioner authorizes the village to employ a qualified person to determine its suitability from the stand-point of Communi~v Planning and agrees to reimburse and indemnify the village for the cost of such services.
