The meeting of January 5, 1960 was not held because a quorum was not
present.
MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF JANUARY 12, 1960 at
7:30 P.M. at the Mound Fire Station.
Present were: Mayor Larson; Trustees Orn, Batdorf and Petersen;
Attorney Ploetz and Manager Boxell.
The Minutes of the Election Canvasing Board Meeting of December 9, 1959
were read. Petersen moved and Batdorf seconded a motion the minutes of
the December 9, 1959 Election Canvasing Board be accepted as read. The
vote was unanimously in favor. So carried and accepted.
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 9, 1959 were read. Batdorf
moved and Petersen seconded a motion the minutes of the regular meeting of
December 9, 1959 be accepted as read. The vote was unanimously in favor.

The minutes of the adjourned meeting of December 15, 1959 were read.

ISLAND PARK MERGER
Attorney Ploetz reviewed the order from the Minnesota Municipalities Commission
approving the annexation of Ilsand Park to Mound.
The lvlanger was directed to have Robert Kratt, audit Exhibit A and B. by the
executive order of the mayor.
A Public Hearing on the question for the citizens of the Village of Mound was
set for Thursday, January Z1, 1960 at 8:00 P.M. at the Shirley Hills Little
Theatre, by executive order of the mayor.
RURAL HENNEPIN COUNTY NURSING SERV. IXZE
Peterson offered the following resolution and moved its adoption.. Batdorf

BE IT RESOLVED, that the contract heretofore submitted, signed and executed
by the Suburban Hennepin County Relief Board of the County of Hennepin
for the during the year 1960 for the administration and supervision of
poor relief in the Village of Mound be and the same is hereby, approved
accepted, renewed and extended for and during the year 1960 with the

CAMPUS CI~USADE FOR CHRIST PUBLIC HEARING CONTINUATION
Bert Nygaard appeared as attorney for petitioners.
Herbert Wolner appeared as attorney for citizens opposing peitition.
Mr. Wm. Bright spoke as president of the Campus Crusade for Christ citing
purpose of the organization and its scope.
The Village Council is a continuing body and therefore it is legal to hear this
petition although there has been a change in membership.

The rezoning of this property from Commercial to industrial was discussed.
The use of the former Bobbette Young p~oper~r..wae~diS, cu~sed. The manager
was directed to notify the new owners of non-conforming use, if used as a
club house.
A committee meeting.with Manager Boxell and the Village Council was set for
Tuesday, January 26, 1960 at 12:30 noon. The manager to check on space
and notify the council.
Batdorf moved and Petersen seconded a motion to adjourn until the adjourned
meeting of January 26, 1960 at 7:30 P.M. at the Mound Fire Station. The

MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF JANUARY 26, 1960 at
7:30 P. M. AT THE MOUND FIRE STATION
Present were: Mayor Larson, Trustees Batdorf, Petersen and Orn; and
Attorney Ploetz
ACCEPTING ASSIGNMENT OF COLLATERAL OF STATE BANK OF MOUND
Petersen offered the following resolution and moved its adoption. Batdorf
seconded the motion.
WHEREAS, the Village Treasurer and Mayor inspected the collateral put up
by the State Bank of Mound in the sum of $100,000.00 in U. S.
Treasury Bonds, and found them to be as stated.
AND WHEREAS, the State Bank of Mound has presented to the Village an
Assignment of Securities, pledging rinse and the $10,000.00 F. D. I. C.
Insurance as collateral to the Village Funds.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Village Council of the Village of Mound
approve the aforesaid collateral and the assignment thereof for the
Village of Mound funds.
