TONKA WOOD PRODUCTS - REZONING
The rezoning of this property from Commercial to industrial was discussed.
The use of the former Bobbette Young p~ope~rr_i¥:W, a6,~li_Scu~s,ed.. The manager
was directed to notify the new owners of non-conforming use, if used as a
club house.
A committee meeting.with Manager Boxell and the Village Council was set for
Tuesday, January 26, 1960 at 12:30 noon. The manager to check on space
and notify the council.
Batdorf moved and Peters~.n seconded a motion to adjourn until the adjourned
meeting of January 26, 1969 at 7:30 P.M. at the Mound Fire Station. The

Present were: Mayor Larson, Trustees Batdorf, Petersen and Om; and

ACCEPTING ASSIGNMENT OF COLLATERAL OF STATE BANK OF MOUND
Petersen offered the following resolution and moved its adoption. Batdorf
seconded the motion.
~VHEREAS, the Village Treasurer and Mayor inspected the collateral put up
by the State Bank of Mound in the sum of $100,000.00 in U. S.
Treasury Bonds, and found them to be as stated.
AND WHEREAS, the State Bank of Mound has presented to the Village an
Assignment of Securities, pledging []~Se and the $10,000.00 F. D. I. C.
Insurance as collateral to the Village Funds.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Village Council of the Village of Mound
approve the aforesaid collateral and the assignment thereof for the
Village of Mound funds.

ISLAND PARK ANNEXATION
A letter circulated in the Mound area and copies having been received at the
Mound Village office opposing the annexation of Island Park and written by
citizen, Frank Livingston, was discussed and answereed point by point. Mr.
Livingston was not present.
A RESOLUTION APPROVEING THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF ISLAND
PARK .TO MOUND ·

WHERe, The Minnesota'Municipal Commission did on January 8, 1960, enter
its order affirming the petitioned annexation of Island Park to Mound
Minnesota, -:.. ~ ~, .:, .... , _~ ~,, ~. ~,: , _,~ ..
WHEREAS, it appears to the council from all the facts, matters and proceedings
hereto that annexation is in the best interests of both the Village of
Mound and of the territory to be annexed, and that annexation will
promote exonomy and efficiency of government in the provisions of
street and road, water, sewer, fire, police, planning and recreational
services of the combined area;
AND WHEREAS, it appears to the council that good relations between government
and governed requires an election by the voters of the area to be annexed;
and it further appears that compatible relations between neighboring
governments requires an election by the ~,oters of the area to be annexed;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL, VILLAGE
OF MOUND, that the proposed annexation of Island Park to Mound be
appr ore d.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the council, as a matter of record, express
its desire that the Minnesota MunicipaliCommission order an election
within Island Park, the municipality to be annexed.
