Batdorf moved and Petersen seconded a motion to adjourneuntil the adjourned
meeting of April 7, 1960 at 8:00 P.M. at the Island Park Village Hall, Mound,
Minnesota. The vote was unanimously in favor. So carried and adjourned.

CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ILEZONING
The council members questioned the propoents and the oppenents in turn. John
A. Miller, counsel for the proponents stated they would accept the responsibility
of road improvements, in front of proposed bowling alley, and would bring roads
up to grade ~. d surface such roads.
Speaking against rezoning were: Harold Bronson, Dr. Lauer.

1. By deleting from the Residential District Lots 9 through 13, inclusive,
Block~3, Shirley Hills Unit D, Hennepin County, Minnesota;
2. By adding to the Commercial Use District Lots 9 through 13, inclusive,
Block~3, Shirley Hills Unit D, Hennepin County, Minnesota.

CAMPUS CRUSADE FOR CHRIST ~. ~
The written recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals on the Campus
Crusade for Christ were read and reviewed.
Ray Netherly presented a request for a special use for the 8th and 9th and 10th
of April f~ the Campus Crusade for Christ £a~ilities in Mound.
Orn moved and Batdorf seconded a motion.
BE IT MOVED, A special use permit be granted from Friday noon until
Sund~y hire, March 8 thru March 10, 1960, for no more than 72 people and
to keep cars parked off of streets so as not to cause a traffic hazard. The
chapel to house 44 people and above the dining hall to house 28 people.
The vote was unarninously iD favor. So carried and granted.
The Village Manager is to be furnished a program of activity of the Campus
Crusade for Christ, in regard to their use of the property in Mound.
GRIMM 3.2 Off Sale Beer Licnese
Batdorf moved and Petersen seconded a motion Off Sale
BE IT MOVED, Grimm's Store be granted a temporary 3.2 ~Beer License
from April 1, 1960 until July 1, 1960 for the fee of $1.00. '~
The vote was unaminously in favor. So carried and granted.
LAWSON ON AND OFF SALE BEER LICENSE
The request for an On and Off Sale 3.2 Beer License by Idor Lawson in the
former Kelley Tavern at Seton was discussed. The manger was instructed
to give notice to affected property owners in the area.

ASSESSOR for 1960
The applications of persons for assessor were discussed. The manger was
instructed to write a letter to each applicant requesting him to address a letter
to the conncil stating his qualifications, status, and the reason he wanted to be
the assessor.
BILLS PRESENTED
The following bills were presented for payment
Mound Liquor Store - Lynn Johnson - $71.07
Ed Phillips & Sons - $381.35
Island Park Liquor Store - Lynn Johnson - $535. 11
Ed Phillips & Sons - $51Z. 64
Petersen moved the bills be paid where funds are available. Pfeifer seconded
the motion. The vote was unanimously in fawor. So carried.
TAX FORFEITED PHOPEP~Y ON ISIAND PARK
Trustee Pfeifer and Attorney Ploetz will work out an arrangement for such property
needed by Village for roads and drainage.
Batdorf moved and Petersen seconded a motion to adjourned until ~he regular meeting
of April 12, 1960 at 7:30 P.M. at the Mound Fire Station. The vote was unanimously
in favor. So carried and adjourned.

as read. The vote was unanimously in favor. So carried and accepted.
