The publication and legal discriptions are hereon attached with notice of posting
and affidavits of such. The petitions were adjudged as suffieient for hearing.
Speaking for annexation were Roger Reed, Rock Lindlan representing Greater Mound,
Inc.
Speaking against annexation were John Person representing Rudolph Olson, Bud Coffee
Stewart Smith, Mrs. Boyd Homer, Mr. Emil Liljenfors and Mr. and Mrs. DeBois.

WHEREAS, petition was duly filed March ZZ, 1960 for the annexation to the Village
of Mound of the area described as:
All of the plat of "Douglas" Hennepin County, Minnesota, except Lots
15 and 16 of Block 7 and the northerly l/Z, front and rear, of Lot 1
of Block 12, and that part of Enchanted Island lying within Sections
25 and 36 of Township 117, Range 24, Sennepin County, Minnesota.
WHEREAS,
this council did on April 26, 1960 hold public hearing thereon pursuant
to due posted notice thereof and did duly adjourn to May 12, 1960, and
then again duly adjourned to this date,
WHEREAS, petition was duly filed lvlay 11, 1960 for the annexation to the Village
of Mound of the area described as:
The entire NE 1/4 of Section 22 Township 117 Range 24, Hennepin
County, Minnesota including the entire plat of Lake View Acres,
Hennepin County, Minnesota
WHEREAS, said petition was heard this date pursuant to due posted notice thereof

the council finds that taken together it is in the best interests of each
area so described and in the best interests of the Village of Mound;
finds further that the said areas are properly conditioned for village
government; finds that each such petition was signed in each case by
a majority of the owners of the properties described therein; and
finds that each of the territories therein described abut on the Village
of Mound,

commencing July 15, 1960; for the term and under
conditions in accord with the laws of the State
of Minnesota; at the salary of $7,500 per year
for 1960, prorated, and $8,000 per year for 1961,

A statement was presented along with a copy of a contract that St. Boni Auto Co.
of St. Bonifacius, Minnesota held with the former Village of Island Park for
monthly payments on Tractor (Serial #1~07120) and Loader (Serial #1581) the payments
st~ll due are seven for the sum of $12%00 ~ach from March 1960 thru September 1960
for a total of $903.00, monthly payments are due on the 21st of each month.
Batdorf moved and Pfeifer seconded a motion to pay the past due amount of the contract
and to keep the payments current where funds are available. ~he vote was unanimously
in favor~ so carried.
RESIGNATION OF JUSTICE OF ~E PEACE
The resignation of Justice of the Peace W. ~. Koenig was presented.
Petersen moved and Pfeifer seconded a motion to accept the resignation of W. ~.
Koening duly elected Justice of the Peace of the Village of Mound effectively
June 22, 1960
~he vote was unanimously in favor so accepted.
MCHASCO ELECTRIC
~he work and finances of MeHasco Electric Company~discussed.
ENGINEER'S REPORT
The Engineer's Re~ort will be presented at the meeting of June 28th.
LANGDON HEIGHTS ERROR
Pfeifer offered the following resolution and moved its adoption. Orn seconded the
motion.
BE IT R£SOLVED~ the Village Manager of the Village of Mound be ~irected to execute
the certified correction of the plat of Landgon Heights and a copy
thereof to be attached in the Minute Boo~.

Petersen offered the following resolution and moved its adoption.~ Pfeifer
seconded the motion.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE I~LLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUND ~{AT the mayor of
Village of Mound be~ and hereby is, authorized and directed to certify to the
State of Minnesota~ County State Aid Hi2hways total improved units of 8.10 miles,
other streets total improved units of 35.52 miles~ or grand total improved miles
of ~3.62 miles pursuant to the report of the Village Engineer.
