1960-11-22121 MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF NOVEMBER 22, 1960 - 8:00 P.M. at the MOUND FIRE STATION Present were:~ Mayor H. ~. R. Larson, Trustees Batdorf, Orn, Petersen and Pfeifer; Attorney Ploetz and Manager Eopp. BIDS ON I. P. WATER AND STREET HEADQUARTERS One bid was received from Nickmilt on Items i - Sub. l, 2 and 3 and Item 3. Batdorf moved and Orn seconded a motion. B£ IT MOVED, the bid received be accepted for consideration at the November 29, 1960 Council meeting. The vote was unanimously in favor, So carried STORM SEWER - DREAMWOOD Mr. T. J. Haglund~,a~.M~ahn and Mr. Roberts appeared; a petition having been filed in the Village Office requesting relief from water drainage. Batdorf moved and Petersen seconded a motion. BE IT MOVED, the matter be tabled for the outcome of government loan from the Housing and Home Finance Agency on Water and Sewer installation, The vote was unanimously in favor, go carried, PLANNING COMMISSIONS REC{~MENDATION Mr. Harvey McKinney appeared Bardorf moved and Petersen seconded a motion. George Osha BE IT MOVED, a building permit be granted provided the applicant shall properly install 12 inch tile to miss house located per plat plan and that applicant shall b~ deed ¢~r~t~t to the Village of Mound an ease- ment for maintenance thereof, and of the normal flow of water, over said property from property line to property line and 7½ feet. in width to each side of the center line as installed and that said 12 inch tile be installed to meet the existing fall. The vote was unanimously in favor~ So carried. Mr. Ben Gardner appeared. Batdorf moved and Petersen seconded a motion. BE IT MOVED, the permit on lot 17, Block ~ be denied as lot l? does not ~eet Parking on Marion Street - American Legion Hall Batdorf moved and Petersen seconded LEGION PAPJ(ING BE IT MOVED, the Village of Mound disallow parking on the west side of Marion Street and BE IT FURTHER MOVED, The Village of Mound disallow' parking on the east side of Marion Street from 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.;~ Sundays and holidays excepted. The vote was unanimously in favor so carried. Street Light on #110 Street Batdorf moved and Om seconded a motion. Light BE IT MOVED, the Village Council of the Village of Mound authorize Northern 'States Power'Co. to install a h, OOO lumen light on #110 and move a ~,.500 The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried. Audit of Liquor Accounts The audit of the Liquor books was discussed. The Village Manager was instructed to ask Mr. Kratt to a meeting of the ViLlage Council to discuss the audit. Audit Parking on Church Way Orn moved and Petersen seconded a motion. BE ZT MOVED, the first 30 feet east of the curb of Commerce Boulevard must remain 'No Parking'. The next 50 feet can be used for 2 hour parking, and the following 20 feet should be~reserved for emergency vehicles. Note: Directly east of that 20 feet is the private alley. The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried. Meeting with Planning Commission A meeting ~ith the Mound Planning Commission and the Village Council is arranged for Tuesday, December 6, 1960 directly after hhe Council meeting. James Hawks the professional planne~, will be invited to attend. Planning Commissio Transfer of Funds Pfeifer offered the following resolution and move~ ~ts adoption. Batdorf seconded the motion. BE IT RESOLVED, the sum of $1~O00 be transferred from the Water. Fund to the Fire Fund, over payment on Fire Truck Loan in 1960. 124 Roll Call vote: Pfeifer Aye Batdorf Aye Orn Aye Petersen Aye Larson Aye So carried and resolved. DOCK INSPECTOR The matter of a dock inspector and the fees for permits was discussed. Semi Monthl~ Bills Batdorf moved and Orn seconded a motion to pay the following bills where funds are avaiable. The vote was Unanimously in favor. So carried. Batdorf moved and Orn seconded a motion to adjourn until the adjourned meeting of November 29~ 1960 at 8:00 P~M. at the Mound Fire Station.
