Present were: Mayor H. B. P,. Larson, Trustees Batdorf, Pfeifer, Orn and
Petersen; Manager Kopp and Attorney Ploetz.
The Minutes of the Canvasing Board, November 9, 1960 were read. Orn
moved and Batdorf seconded a motion the minutes of the Canvasing Board
Meeting of November 9, 1960 be accepted as read. The vote was unanimously
in favor so carried and accepted.
The Minutes of the regular meeting of November 9m 1960 were read. Batdorf
moved and Petersen seconded a motion to accept the minutes of the regular
meeting of November 9, 1960 as read. ~ The vote was unanimously in favor.
So carried and accepted.
The minutes of the adjourned meeting of November 22, 1960 were read. Batdorf
moved and Orn seconded a motion to accept the minutes of the adjourned meeting
of November 22, 1960 as read. The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried
and accepted.
The Minutes of the adjourned meeting of November 29, 1960 were read. Pfeifer
moved and Batdorf seconded a motion So accept the minutes of the adjouned
meeting of November 29, 1960 as read. The vote was unanimously in favor.

The minutes of the adjourned meeting of December 6, 1960 were read. Petersen
moved and Orn seconded a motion to accept the minutes of the adjourned meeting
of December 6, 1960 as read. The vote was unanimously in favor so ca=tied

PLANNING COMMISSION.' RECOMMENDATIONS
Mr. Palmer of Tonka Woods Products appeared, requesting a permit to
construct a temporary Warehouse Structure, that would also serve as a

sample for the structures he would construct. The Mound Planning Commission
has recommedned the permit be granted with the stipulation that the permit must
be applied for annually.
Petersen offered the following resolution and moved its
adoption.

WHEREAS, Tonka Wood Products has made application for construction and
maintenance of a warehouse building on Lots 12 - 15, inclusive, Block
1, Shirley Hills, Unit A, on a temporary non-conforming building basis;
prusuant to Ordinance Sec. 9.2 1 Subd. 2
WHEREAS said lots are presently zoned commercial and said proposed building
use is "industrial" in nature;
WHEREAS said application for a temporary non-conforming building has been
approved by the Planning Commission
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUND
1. That said temporary non-conforming building permit be granted for the
construction and temporary maintenance of a warehouse building on said
lots; said permit to expire January 1, 1962;
That said permit be strictly temporary and that applicant is given no
assurance of renewal in future years;
That as a condition of the granting of said permit, the exterior thereof
be finished and painted in an attractive manner and in accord with the
requirements of the building inspector.

Norgard
Kenneth Norgard has requested permission to build on two adjoining lots having
only 50 foot frontage, two houses. Lots 51 and 52 Skarp and Lindquists Subd.
of Lots 1 and 32, Ravenswood.
Batdorf moved and Pfeifer seconded a motion.
BE IT MOVED the matter of a permit for Lots 51 and 52 Skarp and Lindquists
Ravenswood, Subd. of Lots 1 and 32, be tabled.
The vote was unanimously in favor. So carried.

STREET LIGHTS
Requests were received from the School District #277 for a Strret Light at
the intersection of #110 and the Grandview Jr. High School driveway and
from Pontie Seifert for a light at the intersection of his driveway and ~110.
Batdorf moved and l:qeifer seconded a motion.
· BE IT MOVED that Northern States Power be authorized to install a 4, 000
lumen light at the intersections of Seiferts Driveway and #110 and
Grandview Jr. High School driveway and #110.
The vote was unanimously in favor. So carried.
