Pfeifer seconded the motion. All of Pebble Beach Common, All of Waurika Common, and All of Wawonaissa Common by insta!ltion of water main thereon and by construction of wells, pump, reservoirs,, tanks, treatment plants and other appurtenances therefor and to assess the benefitted property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to ~lnnesota Statutes, Section 4~9.Oll to 4E9.111 (Laws 1955, Ch. 398, as amended), NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MOUND, 5[INNESOTA: That the proposed improvement be referred to Schoell and Nadson, Village Engineers, for study and that they are instructed to report to the council with all convenient speed advising the council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improve- ment as recommended. AUTHORIZING SALE OF TAX EXE~iPT PROPERTY Pfeifer offered the following resolution and moved its adoption. Petersen seconded the motion.. T~ "~ ~HER~AS, The Village Cour~cil of the Village of ~ound, Hennepin County, ~innesota, has received from the County Auditor of Hennepin Count~-, ~{innesota, a list of lands in said village which become the property of the State of Ninnesota under the provisions of law declaring the forfeiture of land to the state for non-payment of taxes, which said list has been designated as Classification List #506-C", Janaury 31, 1961; and ,~HER=AS, each parcel of land described in said list has heretofore been classified by the Board of County Commissioners of Hennepin County, Ninnesota as non-conservation land and the sale thereof has heretofore been authorized by said Board of County Commis- si chefs: NOW '~ '~ ' BE IT RESOLVED, by said Village Council,_ acting · HEi~EFO~tE, pursuant to Ninnesota Statutes for 1949~ Section SSS.O1, Subd. 1, that the said classifications by said Board of County Commissioners of each parcel of land described in said list as non-conservation land be and the same is hereby approved and that the sale of each such parcel oi~ land be and the same is hereby approved.. Petersen seconded the motion. ?JZSOLUTION AUKHORIZING ~AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND MANAGER TO APPLY FOB CONVEYANCE OF TAX FORFEIT LANDS ~E?~AS, the State holds as state forfeit cerbain land in the Village of Mound legally described as Lot i and 2, Block 13, Avalon$ WHEPJ~AS, the Village of Mound requires said lobs for street and drainage purpo s e s $ NOW, THEREFOP~, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MOUND, MINNESOTA That the Mayor and Manager be and hereby are authorized and directed to make proper application for the conveyance thereof for said purposes to the Village of Mound. Roll Call Vote: Pete rsen Aye Pfeifer Aye Orn Aye Larson Aye Co carried and resolved. 9996 STREET ~INTENANCE POLICY Manager Kopp presented his proposed program for street maintenance. He emphasized this program would not put the roads~ in prime condi- tion but would be a temporary measure to bridge the time from now until after $'ewer and water would be installed. Discussed was a possible ordinance to allow road posting at specific times of road stress. Petersen offered the following resolution and moved its adoption. seconded the motion. RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING STREET MAINTENANCE POLICY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUND, that the street maintenance policy as presented by the Village ~anager, (attached is Exhibit A) be, and hereby is, approved and made an offici~I Street Maintenance Policy by the Village of Mound, Hennepin County, Minnesota.. The Go-Kart and Rebound Tumbling Ordinances were discussed~ Petersen moved and Orn seconded a motion to adjourn until the adjourned meeting of March 28, 1961 at 8:00 P.M'. at the Mound Fire Station.
