An exchange student from Mar Del Plata· Argentina sCnte,
and the Village Council with two pictures of his city, [ o. ne
other taken in daylight; and a letter from his mayor ~vith
southern city, all in Spanish. Student was Ruben Saez. '
TAXICAB LICENSE - Ferd Schwartz
The application for renewal of his taxi cab licenses
to Mr. Schwartz from the Council about the service
discussion continued at length.

BINGO PERMIT FOR MTKA AMERICAN LEGION
A written request was received from the Mtka American Legion Post for the
operation of a Bingo Game during the ~rear 1902.
No action was taken by the Council
STREET LIGHT
A request was received for a street light at the extreme west end of Piper Place.
Orn moved and Batdorf seconded a motion.
BE IT MOVED, the Northern States Power Company be authorized to install a
6,000 lumen light on the extreme west end of Piper Place in the
Island Park section of Mound.
The vote was unaimously in favor. So carried.
CITIZENS COMPLAINT - P.arking Problem
Mr Willard Betzler appeared before the council to request relief from a parking
problem m~a ~osedal~: in the Harrison Bay area. 'The Mayor ~eferred tl~e matter
to the Village Manager for investigation.
TAX FORFEIT LAND
The Hennepin County Land Commissioner requests the Council review the list
"528-C" fo~ tax forfeit land to be put up for sale.
Batdorf offered the following resolution and moved its adoption.
