Koehn seconded the motion. ~ESOLUTION ORDgRING SUSPENSION OF WORK BY CONTRACTOR AND COMPLETION OF REMAINING ~©RK BY DAY LABOR WHEREAS, the Village Council by resolution adopted August 31, 1961 accepted bids and awarded contract to %~alter Hiller and Sons, Inc., of Waconia, Minnesota, as the lowest responsible bidder, on the basis of total estimated bid of $1~0,123 and on the basis of agreement to commence work within ten AND WHEREAS, the contractor's Workmen's Compensation Insurance coverage has lapsed as of July 7, 1962, the Village has been ~otified thereof by the insurer, and the contractor has failed and continues to fail to give proof of new or renewed coverage despite repeated requests NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MOUND, Mi$INESOTA: 1. The contractor, Walter Hiller and Sons, Inc., of Waconia, Minnesota, be, and hereby is, ordered to suspend work by reason of improper construction, and by reason of unreasonable delay in the prosecution of the work, pursuant to ~nnesota Statute h29.0~1 and the said contract, and by reason of lapse of Workmen's Compensation Insurance coverage contrary to the provisions of the contract. 2.
