FIRE CONTRACTS WITH MINNETRISTA, SPRING PARK AN[
Pfeifer offered the following resolution and moved its adoption.

WHEREAS, the Village of Mound has fire service contracts wit
Spring Park and Shorewood which call for payment of an hourl
fires attended, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mound has a fire contract with Oronc
formula which eliminates the hourly fee and gives fire servi
area covered in the contract, and

~EREAS, the Village of Mound is desirous of placing all fire contracts
on a formula basis,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MOUND:
1. That existing fire service contracts with Minnetrista,
Spring Park and Shore~od be cancelled as of midnight
December 31, 1962, and
2. That the Village Attorney and Village Manager be and are
hereby directed to o£fer fire service contracts for 1963
to the aforementioned villages based on the formula used
in the contract with the Village of Orono, and
3. That no contract be drawn for less than a ShOO annual
fire service charge, and
4. That the Village~of Mound not enter into any agreement
for 1963 with a village which does not within 90 days
of this date pay outstanding hourly service charges
under the existing contracts.

WHERFAS, on June 1, 1962, the Village of 0rono asked for a 30-day extension
of the June l, 1962 deadldne established for the Village of 0rono's decision
on whether the Village of 0rono shall or sha~L1 not participate in a sani-
tary sewage treatment plant and collection facilities with the Village of
Mound, and
WHEREAS, on June 5, 1962 the Village Council of the Village of Mound granted
the extension of time for 30 days or until the Village of Mound ordered work-
ing plans and specifications for the sewer project, whichever date came first,
and

duplicate, will be received in the Of-
fice of the Village Manager, Village
Hall, Mound, Minnesota, until 5:00 p.m.
CDT, August 28, 1962, and also received
and opened at the Village Fire Station,
~Vilshire Drive, Mound, at 7:30 p.m.
CDT on the same day for the construc-
tion of roadway improvements com-
prising approximately 950 cubic yards
of excavation, 1,670 tons of gravel base
and 12,830 square yards of asphalt
prime and seal coat all of which will be
located on ~Venonah Road, Shadywood
Boulevard, Resthaven Place and Wild-
hurst Place, within the corporate limits
of the Village of Mound, Minnesota,
and constructed in accordance with the
plans and specifications as prepared by
Schoell and Madson, Engineers and
Surveyors, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and
as are on file with the Village Manager
of the Village of Mound, Minnesota.
All proposals shall be made on forms
attached to, and made a part of the
contri~ct documents, or exact copies
