(2) Party of the first part, through its said Fire Department, shall
endeavor to protect and save life and property from destruction by fire in
the said area.
(3) Subject to tko provisions of paragraphs 5 And 7 below, said fire
protection shall be provided for one calendar year commencing January l, 1-963.
(4) Fhe said fire protection service shall be furnished by party of the
first part for the annual consideration as determined by resmlt of the
application of the following formula, and payable in four equial installments
on the first day of January, April~ June and September of eacI year:
