1963-03-1243 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF MARCH 1Z, 1963 at 8:00 P.M. FIP~E STATION at the MOUND Batdorf and present were: Mayor H. B. R. Larson, Trustees Pfeifer, Koehn, Heikkila; Attorney Ray Ploetz and Manager Leonard Kopp, The minutes of the meeting of February 19, 1963 were read. Koehn moved and Heikkila seconded a motion to accept the minutes of February 19, 1963 as read. The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried and accepted. The minutes of February Z6, 1963 were read. pfeifer moved and Heikkila seconded a motion to accept the minutes of the February Z6, 1963 meeting as read. The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried and accepted. The minutes of the March.5, 1963 meeting were read. Koehr[ moved and Pfeifer seconded a motion to accept the minutes of the March 5th, 1963 meeting as read. The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried and accepted. FIRE SERVICE CONTRACT WITH THE VILLAGE OF MINNETRISTA Appearing before the Mound Village Council were Mayor Ebert, Councilmen Fillmore, Pete Sorsenson, Mader,; Clerk, Germain Boll and Attorney Elizabeth Bonham. Discussion centered around the fire department coverage and capability, and the new area lviinnetrista wanted covered. The Mound Council requested a written request, with the assessed valuation of the areas to be covered. A general discussion cleared up several points of misunderstanding. iNSPECTIOI~I'~ OF BANK COLLATERAL Batdorf moved and Heikkila seconded the motion. BE IT MOVED, The report of the Mayor and the Village Treasurer upon their inspection of the collateral security of SZ00, 000.00 at the State Bank of Mound, on January 19, 1963, be accepted. The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried. TAXI CAB LICENSE A request for a Taxi Cab license in the Village of Mound was received from Oliver Dressel of the Village of lviinnetrista. A hearing was set for March Z6. 1963, by executive order. No publication necessary. 1963 HENNEPIN cOUNTY FAIR A request was received for donations to the Hennepin County 1963 taken. No action BINGO REQUEST A request dated March 7, 1963 was received requesting permission to hold bingos on April 7, a Sunday in the latter part of July, November 17 and December 15, i/~mm the Three points Playground Association. No action was taken. MOUND FIRE DEPARTMENT DELEGATION Present were Jerry Dodds, Frank Weiland, Bud Orn and Vernon P. Andersen. The use of the Fire Hall by the Mound Council and the Municipal Court was discussei 44. CONCORD BLVD. WATER PROJECT PAYMENT A bill was received fcrrn Swanson ~o~cavating was received for the Concord Blvd. Water Project for $11,0S0.00 of this amount 5% was recommended to be held back because of some objections by the Hennepin County Highway Department. RESOLUTION 63-$2 Amendment .i-A to Resolution Directing the Issuance and Sale of Temporary Improvement Bonds in accordance with Section 429.09 1, Minnesota Statutes, Subdivision 3, making provision for payment of the Contractor of Concord Boulevard Water Project 62-1 Koehn moved and l~feifer seconded the motion. DISPOSAL PLANT PLANS The plans for the Sewage Plant were isnpected and studied by the Building Inspector and he requestdd a second exit on the basement level. After some discussion the Engineer, Bill Schoell agreed to make the necessary change to comply with the Mound Building Code. Herb Fry pres,~nted pictures, and charts to illustrate his points in his talk on Server Gas to generate power. A discussion period followed the talk with numerous questions. Koehn moved and Pfeifer seconded a motion BE IT MOVED, to include in the Disposal Plant plans, a generator for heat and power. The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried.
