EXTENSION OF RESIGNATION
Lamont Weiland appeared before the council to plea for an extension of his resignation
as a police officer of Mound, as he had no other job to go to and needed the job badly.
The extension to be until April 1964. The Village Manager wishes the council to make
the Ae~ision.
Batdorf moved and Heikkila seoon&ed the motion
BE IT MOVED, the Village Council dens any extension of the resignation of Lamont
Weiland from the Police Dept.
The vote was Pfeifer opposed and Batdorf, Heikaila, Koehn and Larson in favor. So
carried and denied.
PRILIMINARY PRESENTATION OF SANITARY SEWER IMPROVt~ 62-1C and WATER 62-2A
Wm. McCullum made the presentation and went over contemplated changes with the
council, with the council studying each change and answering a poll as to their
choice. It ~as decided to hold a special hearing about the sewers along the
Dutch Lake shoreline and invite the affected property owners such meeting to be
November 5, 1963 at the Mound Village Office.
Ray Koehn left the meeting.

WILSHIRE DRIVE PROJECT FUND AND FROM LIQUOR
FUND TO WHILSHIRE DRIVE PROJECT FUND, AS A

WARD SEWER AND WATER INSTALLATION
Batdorf moved and Heikkila seconded the motion
BE IT MOVED, that the sewer service and the water service lines may be laid in
the same trench if the sewer service is of extra heavy tarred cast
iron pipe with leaded joints and the water service is of copper pipe,
and it is further required that the Village inspector inspect these
services before backfill, the cost of which shall be paid by Mr.
Charles Ward.
The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried.

zRecess for five minutes to allow the Spring Park Council, now assembled in
the Fire Station to meeting with their attorney and engineer before the joint
meeting.
Spring Park council present: Pat Patterson, clerk, councilmen, George Schutt,
Luther Anderson, Grant Swanson, Smithy; and Mayor Bob Matson, Attorney A1 Quello
and they share our engineer, William Schoell.
The discussion was a reciprocal emergency water supply between the Village of
Spring Park and the Village of Mound~ suggested meeting point to be on the west
s~de of the Seton bridge exact pdint not set, a two way meter would be installed
and all costs would be borne by the Village of Spring Park. The pros and cons
were discussed at length, and after the discussion the attorneys of each village
were instructed to meet together and iron out the legal wrinkles.
Batdorf moved and Pfeifer seconded the motion to adjourn until the adjourned
meeting of Nov. 5, 1963 at 8:00 P.M. at the Mound Village Office. The vote was
unanimously in favor, so sarried and adjourned.
